Tue place is very beautiful and houses very neat and sparkling clean . The service is so poor , they say check in till 11pm got there around 9.45 waited for over an hour all phones were not being answered and when it finally got answered the person said you are actually lucky because I start at 11 but im going to help you. They have a note written collect keys at pub went to the pub there was no one at all. The person couldn't even check us in and he had to call someone else who was not there so it took us 1hr 30 min to get a room and it was freezing cold that night.

Went for a birthday meal, ordered a mega mixed grill well done, arrived 1 steak rare 1 well done, chicken is literally a grilled breast which tasted like a frozen dry breast, sausages were all cooked differently. Out of the 8 meals ordered 3 were wrong. Asked the server about ales as we were seated, told I dunno and walked off. Far better food for the prices elsewhere, wouldn't go back.

Don't know about hotel rooms we came for a family meal and a few beers. Service was good. Food was good.A lovely place. Very welcoming, we was met at the door and taken to our seats. It was a family celebration celebrating two birthdays. The service was great. We didn't need to go the bar at all it was all waiter service so we didn't miss any of the celebrations. The food was lovely and had a kids menu. Was a little on the expensive side so we wouldn't use on an ordinary weekend but okay for special occasions. Lovely atmosphere and family friendly.

Nobody to greet you upon arrival so you have to go into the pub. Car park is very dark. No electric sockets near beds to charge phone, or if you have medical equipment that needs plugging in. Tea tray poorly stocked, there were only 5 small sugar packets for 3 people. Also the bathroom looked a bit grubby. No bottled water in room. Beds are incredibly hard. The food in the restaurant was over priced for the quality of it, and the service was slow. Portions size on main mail was fine, but the starter and dessert was expensive for tiny amount. Would not stay again or eat here again. Also we had booked and paid for 3 nights but left after one as wasn’t disabled friendly, called the manager the next day, he wasn’t in, told we would get a call back, but he didn’t return the call. Very disappointed with the whole experience. I don’t like to leave a bad review, but unfortunately it really ruined our trip :(

We found the whole experience very say and pleasant. Reception staff helpful and polite. The room was well equipped and spotlessly cleaned. Tea and coffee tray was well stocked and so was the bathroom, with hand soap, shower cream and towels. Room temperature lovely! A great stay!

12 of us met up for a joint 3 birthdays, we all had very good service and excellent quality meals. The staff were very polite and friendly, the food was served in good time and came out nice and hot. Only 1 craft ale on though, there always used to be a really good selection of craft ale so not sure what's happened there. But hobgoblin was still on so happy days.

My stay is coming to a close and I have to say I'm happy with, not only the price, the quality of my room and the friendly staff that greeted me on arrival. I'm not sure of your name but thank you for being nice! It's made my stay a little easier having a friendly face I can pop to see if I need anything gives me great comfort. Definitely would come again :) P.S - I hope the housekeeping staff enjoy the left over Papa Johns that I left for them! XD

My fella and I stayed a while back and had the best steak ever so we thought we'd give the steak another go. We wasn't let down. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Nice and juicy. Yummy. The young lady (Nevaeh was very pleasant. Hats off to the chef little Pete...
