My boyfriend surprised me with a birthday stay at The Elm Hotel & Spa, and it was amazing. The room was beautiful, the staff were so friendly, and the food was great. We especially loved the spa, the indoor and outdoor jacuzzi were a real highlight. It was such a special and memorable experience, and I’d highly recommend it.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at The Elms Spa. From the moment I arrived, everything felt calm, luxurious, and thoughtfully curated to create a truly relaxing experience. The spa itself is beautiful, impeccably maintained, and offers the perfect atmosphere to unwind and recharge. I especially want to dedicate this review to Stephanie at the front desk. She was incredibly welcoming, kind, and professional, and she went out of her way to make sure our stay was seamless from start to finish. Her friendly attitude and attention to detail made a lasting impression and truly elevated the entire experience. Overall, my time at The Elms Spa exceeded my expectations, and I can’t wait to return. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with exceptional service xxxx

Such an incredible place, we arrived just as they were decorating for Christmas and it was beautiful! The setting is stunning, the rooms are lovely, the food was absolutely incredible and the staff were all really friendly and helpful. We also visited the spa and had a treatment which was fantastic. It's expensive but worth it.

Stayed for a weekend and it was amazing. Stunning decor for Christmas! we went to the spa twice during our weekend, and I had a massage which was so so good (think it was with Heidi?) it was raining most of the weekend but the grounds looked lovely. Breakfast was really good, help yourself to continental buffet table and then order hot food. We didn’t have lunch, we did book for dinner one night but it was a strange menu…aside from the steak none of the main meals were accompanied by a carb. I think the menu could be simplified a bit and would be more popular, we didn’t have dinner there on our second night because of this which was a shame. The room was lovely, had everything we needed, but was very noisy, we were on the second floor but could hear a lot in the corridors and the wall lights would shake with doors and movements going on outside of our room, I understand it’s an old building so it’s to be expected. Overall, was a lovely weekend and would definitely return!

Fantastic place to stay! Rooms luxurious and cosy in winter with a very good shower and toiletries. Lovely location and when we visited the building was decked with classy Christmas decorations inside and out. Drinks were not mega expensive like some 4 star hotels. Food was good but very small portions and I’ve marked down a star because my wife’s lamb rump - already small - was one third fat and gristle so shouldn’t have been served like that. The breakfast though was excellent. Overall, highly recommended!

We attended for a Weekend Wind Down Spa Day - we started our afternoon off with Afternoon Tea, which was very nice, we then went over to the Spa to have the Drift Away 30 back massage again very nice although seems to finish quite quick - I also booked the wife an additional Facial which she loved as well. Spa facilities are amazing & very relaxing, well worth the money you pay for it. It's all very modern, with nice steam rooms, a large sauna, a good sized pool, indoor & outdoor hot tub. The website doesn't do this place justice - would definitely recommend to all!

Room was stunning, we had the pleasure of staying in the coach house. Bell who handled my booking queries on reception was amazing! She was kind, empathetic and very helpful. When arriving we were walked to our room, helped with bags. The spa was one of the best boutique spa's I have been in, all the little details made it feel world class (Green Tea, Alcoholic Drinks on quick demand, Fresh Fruit, etc). The Spa also had a series of rooms (Sauna, Various Shower Experiences and Stream rooms). Overall - 10/10 experience and shout out to Bell for being super helpful!

Everything was perfect; a friend and I came for celebrating her engagement. The spa was lovely, food was nice and everyone was really friendly. Only thing I would note, As it is a dog friendly hotel, some rooms have had dogs in. The original room we were allocated was very clean but had a slight smell of dog. We asked reception if we could be moved and they helped us straight away... and no problems at all! So when booking the hotel ask for a room that isn’t dog friendly!

The staff were really lovely at our half-day spa experience. It was really relaxing and lovely decor. I have to point out one member of staff in particular ‘Andy’ who went out of his way to welcome us with his friendly vibe when serving us our afternoon tea. Nothing was too much for him! He is a credit to have work there. Many thanks to the rest of the staff who made the day lovely. Recommend the back massage!

I took my partner here for 2 nights to celebrate her birthday (she’s a huge fan of spa breaks!). Before making the booking I called to see if they could dress the room up with balloons / rose petals / champagne etc, which for an added cost the could provide. We had the badger suite which was exceptional, very clean and the bed was also very comfy! The grounds were maintained to a high standard and the house itself is beautiful both inside and out. We had full use of the spa / pool which was the highlight of this stay. I’ve never been to a spa with such exquisite botanical decor. I also paid for a full body massage for us both in their couples room which was very relaxing and just what we both needed! We also used the gym before breakfast both mornings which again had all the equipment we needed. The food was also exceptional. We had the choice from the menu one night and the 5 course taster meal with wine on the other. We also had lunch during the day - all of the food and wine was 10/10. The price may look a tad steep in comparison to other spa’s you may have visited in the past, but I guarantee this will leave a lasting memory as this is one of the best spa hotel’s I have visited. Lastly the level of service was exceptional - A special thank you to Jessica who helped me with the booking / room decor requests. The staff here are very friendly and we’re very helpful. Highly recommend this place!
