Before you take in the one star review, you should remember that this isn't a commercial business. This is a small independent business trying to compete with large retailers. I for one think the prices are very reasonable. The dog and cat food is usually better value than the local supermarkets. The owner always goes above and beyond for her customers, offering to deliver locally for anyone that needs it, and if there is anything you can't see in store, will gladly try to source the product for you. I will always happily support and return to this store.
DO NOT buy your REPTILE FOOD from this shop! I was busy and had to ask a relative to pick me up some reptile food. £2.00 for 5 small/medium sized locusts! (only 4 was alive). This is disgraceful! I usually buy my reptile food from SWELL on the industrial park about a mile away (near slide and seek). SWELL offer 3-4x as many locusts/crickets/most reptile foods for the same price. Honestly, it's like HYDE Pet Foods buys reptile food from SWELL and re-package's it 3-4x over. I've had similar experience's in this shop in the past. Half dead boxes of crickets - slimy wax worms with a sour smell to them. Avoid this place for your reptile foods! SWELL offers a better quality - quantity - and price!
The store is rather small and chaotic and dated but they have a good range of items and fish. Prices are competitive aswell. The staff have always been friendly. There is pram space if the shop is quiet. Closest parking would be behind the shopping center pay and display or asda for free
