   Wouldn't rate these vets at all if i could give zero stars i would been loyal clients for years with these vets they miss diagnosed our other dog who is now dead as they didn't pick up on her deteriorating we were fobbed off for weeks back and forth from the vets we saw 4 vets saw Barbara Hambley twice who is the practice manager none of these vets took a blood test from my dog who has addison's she was only 1 of 3 dogs in the practice who had addison's disease so they knew her case she had been under them for years for her addisons we were offered a ct scan as she had back pain but we weren't told at any point that a dog who has addison's is at much higher risk due to the anesthetic which can cause the addison's to flair up before they come at me and say that's not true I can assure it is as im currently learning to be a vet nurse and my tutor is a qualified vet nurse not 1 of these vets who we saw actually checked her potassium and sodium levels due to her back problems which made her addisons flair up i mentioned in one consultation with the vet who is the practice manager that our dog hadn't been eating or drinking for 5 days thoes are classic addisons symptoms not once did any vet check my dogs blood levels and we saw 3 different vets we then took our dog to armac vets in bury who were lovely i will add they had to pick up the pieces from vets for pets Oldham due to their neglect I put a complaint in to vets for pets Oldham which was ignored and brushed under the carpet i did try raising my concerns with the practice but was fobbed off when we took our dog to armac the vet said she had gone into an addisons crisis this won't have happened overnight we were at vets for pets Oldham for weeks on end and it could have been picked up then before it was to late hope they are happy with themselves as they were a massive reason why my assistance dog Mika is now dead she was only 9 years old and should have had years of life left to live we have moved vets now who actually give a toss about animals and give people the time of day my advice is don't go to this vets they will ruin your life as they did with mine im still so angry as Mika only died on the 6th of July I've now taken it further your husband greg of 25 years was downright nasty to me via a nasty phoncall when I originally put the review up i also have a witness who heard him being nasty as my phone was on loud speaker when the witness was in the room when the phoncall was taking place why would you ring a grieving family to have a go at them is beyond me absolutely disgusting making horrific accusations that we didn't look after mika and that we didn't bring her in for appointments when we clearly did i don't know what combined effort you saw you made no effort to save her I asked you in an appointment to check her burst eardrum which you then refused to look at I had a witness with me in that appointment who also heard you refuse to look at her ear I also said she hadn't eaten or drank anything for 4 days why you didn't check her potassium and sodium levels I don't know you don't need to be a vet to know thoes are classic addison crisis symptoms also greg Barbara's husband who is one of the receptionists tried saying that the last time we brought Mika in was the 20th of June this wasn't true he had lied about that and her medical records back that up she was seen on the 2nd of July by Barbara which is stated on her medical records along with me stating she hadn't been eating or drinking no effort was made to save her and mika was off her back legs on the second of July this was the same appointment I stated to Barbara that Mika hadn't drank anything for days and hadn't eaten for 4 days except for 4 biscuits and still no effort to check her Addisons disease if that is your view of what highest vet care looks like it wasn't good enough because of you my assistance dog is dead shame on you

   I'm disgusted by this vets, I brought my cat in a few times about her eyes, over the months, she tried drops etc didn't make a difference, had an appointment within weeks of another appointment,vet didn't notice any thing, except she'd gained weight and thought possibly might have a brain tumour as shed had a seizure which is why I brought her in, then she went blind which was really distressing for her and I had a snotty tall blonde vet telling me I should have brought her in when she first and any issues then they might have been able to do something, I bloody did! twice! , then yesterday she went really down hill over night, not wanting breakfast and collapsed panting, they couldn't see her as it was bank hol and they shut early so had to take her to the emergency vets in bury who were absolutely fantastic, every one of them caring, let me spend an HR with her in a private room before putting her to sleep,no rushing like they do here from a past experience, I had her booked in for today for euthanasia at vets for pets Oldham as they couldn't do yesterday but she couldn't wait another day, so I emailed to cancel and explain shed gone, got no reply, no sorry for your loss, nothing so I went in to check it was cancelled and the younger girl on the desk said sorry but no one else, they wanted me to put my cat through painful blood tests and other tests just to extract as much money as possible and it wouldn't of made a difference anyway , I hate how vets rip people off and let animals suffer because some people can't afford the bills, I'm glad vets in general are being investigated for their scandalous behavior, and for Goodness sake try and get some vets in who actually care and are good with animals, the blonde one was rough and uncaring, the only nice vet they ever had there was john and don't bother private emailing me again barbara I'm done with this vets, I'm registering my other pets elsewhere now, and if people have any sense they will do the same! Also just to say from armac vets (wonderful vets)had a beautiful sympathy card, forget me not seeds to plant in remembrance and two little bottles of our cats fur with lovely writing on them for free! Now that's how it should be done,, not even had a sorry for your loss from these assholes! Shame on you .

   Terrible customer service! EXTREMELY RUDE! staff, they tried to make me feel terrible because of my circumstances and all this was just trying to book an appointment! Needless to say I canceled and took my animal into a more understanding and friendly vets. I would not spend my money on this company, I would recommend finding a indipendant vets that understand people and care about the owners as well as the animals. I will not be booking my animals into a vets4pets again but this particulour experience was with the Oldham branch.

   Very thorough examination of my cat following concerns around her mobility. Really easy to get an appointment, all on time when I arrived. Great bedside manner from all staff. The consultation was free as part of the monthly pet care subscription I pay and then I got a discount on the medication too. Very happy overall.

   I had to make a very tough, yet right decision for my beautiful 19 year old girl, Tammy yesterday. On ringing the Vets, they fitted Tammy in at short notice and were very accommodating and caring. Not only did we get offered a consultation room for privacy on arrival but the Vet (Miriam) was extremely patient, calm and kind. A very difficult time but a huge thank you for everything yesterday.
