   Came for an early family Christmas meal and wasn’t disappointed! Food was amazing and we ordered 9 meals. All came out cooked perfectly and good portion size. Thank you so much!

   I had a great experience at my visit to the darrington on Thursday. All of the food was enjoyable and a special mention to the assistant manager Molly who who went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. She was extremely friendly and welcoming and provided an excellent service. We will definitely be returning.

   Stayed for one night at the Darrington Hotel, staff were excellent, however the room left a little to be desired. King room was a decent size and nicely decorated but the bathroom was a little tired. In addition we were awakened in the morning by the window cleaner on his ladders outside the room & cleaning the gutters apparently. Breakfast was sub-par, with anemic sausage, burnt bacon, and a plethora of beans to disguise the disaster. On balance it was barely worth the price we paid. An "ok" place to stay for a night, but could be better.

   You get what you pay for. Room was very dated. The bits what were new, were of poor quality. The toilet had skid marks... No wonder, as there was no toilet brush. The bathroom fan was full of dust and gross and also not working - room 17. Service at breakfast was horrendous. There were two ladies in their 40s or 50s on shift. They messed up a simple breakfast order - took half an hour to arrive, after I had to remind them of it. When it came, it was the wrong plate (only 2 sausages instead of the 3 advertised on the menu) and the lady almost argued with me, saying very confidently that was what I ordered. The couple across from me, noticed, and said that it was their order. Just incompetent...

   Good location. Evening meal was in the attached Hungry Horse pub, which was fine. Breakfast was not good. Rooms are very basic but clean. Walls were a bit thin. The service was very good. Staff were very friendly. It was cheap to stay in.

   It is a nice hotel with a beautiful building. Rooms are good for one or two people. Parking is free. Breakfast wasn't really great though.

   Didn't stay just booked a table to go for food. 100% disappointed. Wanted Sunday lunch choice of chicken only. Not enough veg to do 4 meals so one one ended up with extra dried potatoes and peas. Food was cold gravy was thick and cold. Very very disappointed for the price it cost

   Always a good place to take the grankids as have a indoor and outdoor play area ! Food was decent as usual but tonight the chicken tikka masala was a little bit watery for me but can't expect Indian quality in a pub I guess .

   Perfect place to stay for a weekend away in North Yorkshire. Room was great with a huge, comfortable bed, sofa and flat screen TV. Everything was nice and clean. Location is just off a busy motorway junction but traffic noise didn't keep us awake. Breakfast was on top of room rate but lots to choose from and good value. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Great value and would definitely stay here again.

   I stayed two nights in room 5, whilst training locally. The staff were all very welcoming, full English breakfast very tasty and cooked perfectly and the room very clean. I chose this hotel over two local Premiere Inns and wouldn't hesitate to return.
