Lovely clean, newly renovated hotel. We stayed in a family room which had 4 large single beds, perfect for a family, we all had plenty of room and space. Staff were lovely, professional and happy. Breakfast had everything we needed and filled 4 tummy's for a day exploring York. Location was spot on with everything in walking distance. Would definitely stay here again

The rooms were great — they felt newly refurbished and the space was just right. Overall, very comfortable with only two minor issues: • Staff – The staff didn’t appear very friendly compared to other Ibis hotels I’ve stayed at. They were alright, but a warmer tone or a smile would’ve made the experience more welcoming. • Hot shower – Visiting during winter, I expected a hotter shower, but it was only mildly warm and not quite enough to beat the cold.

We found the hotel to be a good location for our visit which was to explore York. Everything was clean and decor fresh and new. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Breakfast had a good choice. Some fresh berries would be nice; pancakes were often rubbery as they had been out a while. Parking was a challenge however we did manage to get into the hotel car park the second day of our stay. We put a card on door handle to request the room was cleaned, however the staff seemed to think that this meant Do not Disturb. There were two sides to the card with different colours, one side was Do not Disturb in pink and the other to Clean the Room in green. The cleaning staff need to be made aware of the difference. The room was on the smallish side, but cosy and functional. Overall good value for money and would stay again.

Rooms not too pretty to look at with chipped paint and some damp. Fans at night outside the building are pretty loud too if you have the window open. But all in all it's a perfectly good budget hotel a 5 minute walk from the city centre that has everything you need for a budget friendly stay where it's just somewhere to lay your head. As I say not going to win any awards on looks but has what you need, complimentary shower gel, shampoo, hand soap, teas and coffees (no non dairy milk comolimentary mind if you're vegan or intolerant) and a comfy enough bed. Staff lovely and friendly too, looks like it has a nice bar and area to play pool and relax but we didn't really spend any time there.

Fantastic value and excellent location. All the staff were friendly and helpful, and while some areas might be a little tired, the room was clean, warm and comfortable. We didn't have breakfast so unable to comment on that but it smelt good!

Very comfortable and very clean rooms. Nice size room for us and nice and friendly at reception. I would have given 5 ☆ but the walls are very thin and when you have such inconsiderate people as we did next to us, banging doors every minute, it was a pain. Nice hotel though and a good location, as not far from the city centre and station.

Above average hotel. No real complaints. Staff so friendly. Breakfast adequate. Room comfortable. Power shower excellent. Only improvement-safe in room maybe. Medium walk into town 15 minutes.

Room was a bit tired but fine, good size TV, in room toiletries had a lovely smell. Breakfast was good, lots to choose from. Lounge with pool table by the breakfast area. Staff friendly. Only downside was doors can be heard slamming from other rooms. Would stay again next time we're in York
