A Stunning Transformation with Exceptional Service! βββββ "I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Met Leeds, and I cannot recommend it enough! The hotel has been newly refurbished, and the results are absolutely breathtaking. You can see the care and detail that went into this newly refurbished property the moment you walk through the door. The interior design perfectly balances the building's historic charm with a fresh, modern, and high-end feel. My room was part of the newly refurbished collection, and it was flawless. Everything from the stylish decor to the brand-new fixtures felt premium and incredibly comfortable. It is clear that the newly refurbished spaces have been designed with the modern traveler in mind, offering both luxury and a cozy, inviting atmosphere. The highlight of my arrival, however, was the incredible welcome at reception. Charlotte was an absolute star! She is an incredible hostβprofessional, warm, and so helpful. She made the check-in process seamless and went above and beyond to make me feel at home in the newly refurbished surroundings. Her passion for the hotel and its newly refurbished features really shone through. If you are looking for a place to stay in Leeds, you have to experience this newly refurbished gem. Between the stunning newly refurbished rooms and the world-class service from hosts like Charlotte, itβs easily the best hotel in the city!"

The hotel has been recently renovated and looks great. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The rooms are extremely good value especially given the location. The building is still old so you do hear people in the other rooms if they are talking loudly or walking around, but I would stay here again

My partner and I stayed here over the weekend and had a really lovely experience from start to finish. The room was beautiful, spotless, and extremely comfortable β we were genuinely impressed with how clean and well presented everything was. From the moment we arrived, the service stood out. Dziugas at reception was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making check-in smooth and setting a great tone for the stay. We also spent time in the restaurant and bar, and both were excellent. The food and drinks were delicious and clearly well prepared. Jakub at the bar was attentive and personable, and our restaurant server, Gopika, was equally friendly and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and felt very well looked after by the entire team. Weβll definitely be returning in the future and would happily recommend this hotel to others.

Perfect stay here last night. Hotel looked stunning, rooms had little extras; nespresso, robes, slippers, all toiletries, snack station (no extra fees) even Pepsi, chocolate, crisps and nuts on top of the usual coffee, tea etc. Very reasonable cost considering location and experience. Disappointing that car park really is very limited but managed to find one within walking distance.

Left today after a 2 night stay beds were comfortable room was clean, most of the staff on reception was friendly, excellent location from everything. Downside. We couldn't bath the whole time there the water was yellow, spluttering out the taps (still no better after been ran for a while) with actual dirt coming out. Mentioned to reception only to be told sorry we had boiler maintenance it should of been checked - not quite the response I was after considering we couldn't wash or have a coffee. Rooms themselves could of done with modernising but not really an issue

I had to come to Leeds for business and stayed at The Met last night. The reception, room service team and breakfast team were so helpful and friendly. I was very impressed. And the room was large, laid out nicely and the bathroom (and rest of the room) were especially clean, sparkling. All in all, well worth the money, especially for a central Leeds hotel. I will definitely be booking again in the future should the need arise.

Wasnβt too worried about cleanliness of room as we were probably only going to be asleep in it for about 5 hrs due to going to an event. Room slightly grubby/worn but bed reasonably comfortable. This hotel has 6 floors so unless your right at the top it sounds like elephants are occupying the room above you. Definitely not the place to stay if you value your sleep

We stayed at the Met for a quick overnight work trip, the architecture is beautiful and the foyer and staircase are a testament to the opulence of the building. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was huge with a massive bed! The bathroom was nearly the size of the main room and it is clear that these had been made up from much larger areas. They were both very clean though a little dated in places. The bathroom had a huge (huge!) quantity of sealant piled behind the taps which wasn't great but didn't affect how anything worked. The main problem was that the spray from the shower was quick to cover the floor (great water pressure, by the way!) which made it slippery and also meant that unless the bathroom door was fully closed (making it a steam room as the window didn't open very far for safety reasons) the bedroom carpet got damp. This is the only reason this review is 4* rather than 5*. The breakfast was a good spread and seemed to cater for a variety of different dietary requirements. From memory we went down around 6.30am which was useful for those of us that had to start work early.

Stayed here recently to attend a corporate event. The event was reasonably well catered and the service was adequate. The room the event was staged in was nicely decorated and architecturally interesting. The rest of the public areas felt a little careworn and if not dirty, then slightly grubby. When checking in there was a long queue and a wait of 20 minutes or so. The reception staff were pleasant but low in number. And then we got to the room...... Quite frankly this was as bad a hotel room as I've ever stayed in. Tiny, dingy, worn out fixtures and fittings. Uncomfortable double bed, not king, that didn't line up with the headboard. Tiny bathroom with no seperate shower. Just truly awful. At least I wasn't paying. Never again.
