Stayed here over Christmas break, so Me and my family could just relax, let someone else cook and clean for Christmas. We booked from booking.com and were given a great discount. Our room was twin beds, but I thought it was 2 adult beds, as this was supposed to fit 4 people, but it was hard. Maybe my fault but, I book the same as always and only this time had issues on arrival.. Baring in mind I booked 3month's in advance to be safe. We just put both beds together. Room was a bit cold for me, but when I asked for extra pillows and duvet, the staff kindly brought it. The room service was hardly available however due to the Christmas dinner, Boxing day and other parties taking priority of the kitchen, which I wasnt too pleased with. Would have been nice to just eat there and not have to order out. We stayed for the Christmas dinner hosted by the hotel. The meal was wonderful, the event room was well decorated, and the food delicious and the visit of Santa, with a gift made the kids day. Was a bit of a 20 mintute delaye inbetween getting through the course of meals delievered. There were 28 tables of up to maybe 6-8 people on each, so I understand it was alot, but I counted mayb 10 staff, and although that seems alot, it wasnt quick enough to get the food round. My kids were moaning a fair bit about being hungry, and we didnt have lunch til 2. Finishing at 4pm. The staff were kind though and helpful, coming around now and then to offer too get our drinks from the bar for us, When we decided to stay and extra night, we were accomdate another room, though our booking was for 2 adults and 2 kids, we were given a queen sized room, which i thought was 2 beds put together we could separate, But nevermind, I can adjust. This however this turned into and extended night of hell after hearing our neighbours having some intimate time next door.. for almost 3 hours!. I tried contacting the reception but no one was answering. I ended up banging on the door and the wall, to hear banging on the wall back and had to put a note of anger under their door. I didnt sleep until 4 am, to wake up at 8 to feed my kids. However in fairness, when i told the reception, and showed them the missed calls i made to the hotel, and the unanswered webchat, they apologised, refunded my extra stay and allowed me a later time of departure of 1pm to allow me to get some more rest. Although some things were not great, I took alot with a pinch of salt as the staff were doing their best and were still kind, and accommodating, and my kids enjoyed the stay, the pool and Santa. I would still stay here, but next time be very weary of neighbours and the room type!

Stayed here for 2 nights for a work event. We didn't use the leasure so can't comment on that but very pleasant hotel. Good size rooms pretty standard interior but more than ample and clean. Decent breakfast, nice bar and tons of parking. I liked the modern approach to it would definitely stay here again

Having been a member for a few years now, i find the swimming pool good for my needs. The steam room is lovely although does get lovely full. The jacuzzi is nice but again gets too full. The staff on the whole are friendly but sometimes give the wrong information out. Classes are hard to book due to the demand for them. I feel the on peak membership is pricey for what you get as it's often ovely full and can be difficult to park. If the prices increase next year then I won't be renewing my membership.

Will is an exceptional personal trainer whoβs transformed my fitness over the past year. His tailored sessions, like legs day, have boosted my strength and pushed my VO2 max to 46βa milestone I never thought possible! Heβs patient yet challenging, adapting to my pace while keeping me motivated, even when life gets busy. His knowledge shines through in every workout, and heβs created a space where I feel empowered, not judged. Recently, his encouragement helped me power through a tough session despite mental lows, showing his real care. If youβre seeking a trainer who blends expertise with support, Willβs the one. 5 starsβhighly recommend!

First of all staff are brilliant, very friendly and helpful! Stayed here for over 5weeks this year. Rooms are clean however for a village hotel, you'd expect more. Some of the rooms could do with a revamp. And there is very little soundproofing, able to hear the gym sessions in the rooms and noisy guests. The restaurant menu is okay for a short stay, but is very limited if you're a vegetarian. Again staff are absolutely brilliant and couldn't do more for you.

Comfortable quiet room, although could do with an upgrade. Good queen size bed, slept well. Good bathroom. Breakfast was poor quality and expensive. Would stay again but go to Caring for Life for breakfast (approx 4 miles north).

Not great..club rooms are a long way from reception and there is no phone in the room..so if anything is needed it is a trek down to "reception"..which isn't always manned. The rooms are basic with no glasses/cups in the bathroom. Nice large shower and toiletry products, but no shower cap. I asked at reception but the hotel does not provide any in the room or on request. The room was sold as having access to the pool included..but the pool had apparently been shut since November, even though the offer was still on at the end of December. Breakfast was pretty basic too and only served until 09.30..so any gym visit before breakfast would have to be early morning. We have stayed at much, much nicer places for a similar price..so wouldn't visit again.

By no means relaxing, the techno music played in the gym is like being next to a rave with an DJ shouting into your room and I was on the top floor so I canβt imagine how loud it was for the floors below! If you are looking to relax in your room I would avoid and definitely avoid if you have children as this goes on late! Room is clean and comfortable and the food is nice which is the saving grace!

Great value for money and the staff are amazing. Following a request they accepted delivery and arranged to place numerous 50th birthday decors in my room as a surprise for my wife. She was so happy! Also arranged an additional room next door for our daughter at short notice. Great breakfast and plenty of further amenities and parking. Would definitely recommend.
