Value for money, it was convenient for me and my needs without a burden toy pocket.

Lovely budget hotel in a great location right next to Headingly stadium. The staff are excellent and the breakfast is spot on for 7 quid.

Pretty standard rooms, relatively quiet, certainly some odd interior design throughout but didn't bother me too much. Good for price.

The rooms were not made when we arrived and had to wait for cleaners to come and make the beds. There was a live socket with bare exposed wires on the wall. The bed headboards were broken. There was no hot water in the shower on our floor so had to go up two floors to find a shower that worked. Shower rooms very dingy and might was flickering on and off which made it difficult to shower. When mentioned to the staff member on reception, she didn’t seem to care. I also overheard a conversation she was having regarding more complaints from customers and didn’t seem to be taking it seriously.

Customer service was good - gave me an option for early check it at convenience. However, the room was freezing when I had arrived, actually after the regular check-in as the windows were wide open. Reception lady seemed nice. The hotel itself is dilapidated - the bathroom tiles were cracked, physical key rather than electronic key card, furniture was stained. All minor points. Not sure if the heater was broken, couldn't manage to turn it on, but it was July so perhaps switched off from mains. There was a space heater and fan provided although I didn't notice the heater until I no longer needed it. The room eventually warmed up with the windows shut. However the bathroom floor was cold due to the tiles. Spring mattress was just about adequate, not very comfortable. My main issue was cleanliness. Under the cover was what appeared to be a dropping - in all fairness I did wonder if it was just dirt off my pants - however it did make me uneasy wondering whether there were rodents about. Under the radiators was dust, as well as the top shelf of the closet. On which there were two irons. Guessing maybe one of them didn't work? Regardless there wasn't an ironing board. There were small bits of single hairs on the floor in the bathroom. The bathroom door didn't have a lock, which seems common in hotels but this one wouldn't even shut all the way. Makes using the toilet awkward. However it was a single room so awkward situation avoided. English breakfast was an option in the morning for 7£. Sausages were lovely, bacon was too salty, mushrooms and tomatoes were clearly tinned. All that being said, if it was the cheapest option available, I would probably stay there again.

Lovely room nice and worm bed, the staff are nice and willing to help with me not being local. Close to city center. The room needs a bit of a modern touch but is worm and quite so no complaints will be booking again when in Leeds thank you.

Monica is a nice lady. She was quite accommodating and helped with the motel directions. Mark was accommodating to my requests, but I felt is a bit frigid. Hotel is rundown and needs a major renovation. Shower facility was convenient and room was nothing special. Close to the high street and good for a budget stay. My room was at the front of the motel, so can get a bit noisy during times, especially at night time.

Rooms in need of an upgrade. Great breakfast thank you chef and friendly. Broken handles on cupboards and handle lose on bedroom outer door. Bedroom: Clean fresh bedding. Supplied medium and small towels. Tiles on walls and floor in bathroom are cracked. Notice on wall place towels on towel rail to reuse towels; there's no towel rail. Nice deep bath. Drawers and cupboards were filthy inside hadn't been cleaned out. Lights missing or not working in bedroom and bathroom.

I like this hotel, its well worn like your favorite jumper, you just feel at home straight away! The staff, many of whom have been there for years, are friendly, helpful and welcoming! The rooms are quirky and well used but whenever I've been here they are spotlessly clean. As for the position it's 4 minutes walk into the cricket ground and up to several hours walk into Headingley depending on how many of the liquid refreshment establishments you visit!

The Butlers Hotel is outstanding ! Me and my best friend booked a twin room for a few days, to attend an event in the city centre of Leeds. The manager of the hotel was very helpful and an absolute gentlemen. The Chef's breakfast's were outstanding ! The waitresses were very polite and first class. The housekeeping team clearly work hard to keep the hotel clean and tidy. Our twin room was clean and tidy, the beds were very comfortable, we are very grateful to all who work here. Our stay was very pleasant, the hotel had everything we wished for. I would definitely stay here again.
