   Booked for 11 nights, paid £105 for parking, within 36hrs advised to move vehicle to higher ground due to potential flooding (next to river). Reception advised that any further parking costs would be refunded on production of receipt. Parked in the Castle car park as closest to hotel, at a cost of £44 per 24h. Presented the hotel with the cost only to be told they will only refund £15 a night. DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO PAY EXTORTIONATE PARKING FEES, and have a 10min walk along a flooded road to access your vehicle.

   Hotel located outside a lovely canal and was nice to walk along everyday. However our hotel view from our window was a caravan site. Around a 15 - 20 minute walk into the city centre. Lots of parking spaces available upon arrival which was great. Free coffee machine with hot chocolate which tasted amazing! And free croissants to take in the morning which were lovely as they don’t serve breakfast. We tried to check in at 2pm but were told to pay an extra £10 to check in an hour earlier. Don’t see the point of this if the room is ready, just trying to get more money from you! Lady on reception upon arrival was lovely and very friendly. Lots of seats in reception and toilet facilities to use if you don’t want to pay for the early check in. Rooms are very spacious with a lovely sized bed and were very comfy! Bathroom was nice with a great shower, easy to use. Didn’t use the kitchen facilities but looked like everything was included if you wanted to cook. The hotel room had random noises and clicks throughout the night/morning which stopped my partner from sleeping. We could hear people walking above us. There was also a fire alarm that went off at 7:30 in the morning which disturbed our sleep, not sure why this went off as it wasn’t a drill/emergency. Overall we would stay here again and the hotel was good for what we paid for.

   I liked the fact that everything you needed was contained in the spacious room. Twin hob, microwave/oven combo, fridge with small freezer compartment, iron and board, hairdryer, powerpoints, usb outlets, good TV with screen casting (which workedl), comfortable bed. Shower good overall, overhead slightly underpowered but the hand spray good and strong. Recycling credentials seemed good as we were encouraged to separate our waste.

   Really enjoyed staying here. Really handy for short walk into centre. Staff brilliant. Coffee in morning amazing. Warning. When parking your car in basement, take care when opening hatch back car's, long bolt's hanging from the roof can damage your car as it did to mine.

   I had a wonderful stay at Roomzzz Hotel York! This was the first hotel me and my boyfriend stayed at, and it will always be our favourite . The rooms were spacious, modern, and impeccably clean, making it a perfect home away from home. The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to ensure I had everything I needed. We missed breakfast in the morning and the lady at reception made sure we got our breakfast. The location was great—close to key attractions but still peaceful and quiet. I especially appreciated the thoughtful little touches that made the stay extra comfortable. I highly recommend Roomzzz to anyone visiting York we will be visiting again!

   This is the second time I’m reviewing Roomzzz York, so I need to assure people I don’t work for them! My wife and I have been visiting York about 2 or 3 times a year for the last 5 years. I, personally, have been going to York for 20 years. As you can imagine we’ve stayed in a lot of hotels. Some good, some fair and some that really should be condemned. But Roomzzz is honestly the best we’ve stayed in. Not only are the rooms good value for money, they first class. And seriously if you can afford the few extra ££ for an upgrade you won’t be disappointed. The location is ideal, right next to the river. Close enough to the centre that you can stroll in without need of a taxi but far enough away that it is peaceful at night. Now let’s talk about the staff. Every time ,without fail, no matter who looks after us they have been Amazing! So helpful and friendly. One this occasion Natalie and Mel so a big shout out to you two. I cannot recommend Roomzzz enough. York is a magical city so you want a place that feels special. This is it.

   We stayed at Roomzzz York for 4 nights and had gone there to celebrate our anniversary.. the hotel is beautiful, comfortable and offers a value for money stay right at the city centre.. We took the smart studio which was equipped with a small kitchenette and had everything you would normally need.. the overall condition of the room was good and cosy and we totally enjoyed our stay there! There was complimentary breakfast and even though it was just grab n go, the items were fresh and tasty and we found it quite convenient!! Highly recommended if you’re looking for a value for money offering in York.

   Great location and very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are spacious and well equipped. Even though the hotel is located on a quiet street next to a river, you can hear the little outside noise even with the windows closed. The garage door is also disturbingly loud when you're in the room right above it.

   Staff were very helpful and friendly, the room was very clean and had everything we needed. Hotel itself is situated a 10 minutes walk into centre plenty of parking. Breakfast was an easy grab and go which is convenient if your in a hurry and price was good for area.

   Me and my boyfriend stayed here last month for a weekend, and we absolutely loved it! We stayed in a smart studio and we were pleasantly surprised how roomy it was. Not to mention it was spotless. Staff couldn’t do enough for us, and the hotels in a great location. We will definitely be visiting again before the year is out!!
