   Main part of the building is lovely but the rooms are tired and average at best. Paid extra for a room upgrade and was very disappointed as the rooms didn’t look like advertised on the website. Double bed was just 2 single beds pushed together so I ended up falling down the gap. Breakfast was great and the staff were lovely

   Simply could not fault the service, the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Incredibly old worldly feel from the buildings to the grounds of the hotel. My room was comfortable and the bed was too, which is important to me. Overall an excellent experience and better than some higher rated hotels I have stayed.

   Had afternoon tea on a Thursday. The service was good. Sandwiches were fresh and tasty. But the scones were vert heavy and to difficult to eat, as if they had been frozen. The cakes were nice but one was so wet, it fell to bits when putting it on plate from stand, again probably been frozen.

   Very friendly, comfortable, hotel in a nice setting. Very comfortable beds. Nice standard continental and English fayre for breakfast. Breakfast is very, very busy when there are weddings and functions staying over. Staff are very stretched at the peak time and provisions, mugs, glasses etc can run out, but they replenish as soon as possible. They work so hard and are always pleasant.

   I had my wedding at Mosborough on 28.06.2025 and it was the most amazing day!!! I can’t thank and praise the staff enough, from the wedding coordinators who guided me through the process to all the staff there on the day! Everyone was so kind and helpful, they couldn’t have done anymore and all my guests said the same!! We had no complaints, and the coordinator on the day kept touching base to make sure everything was running smoothly! If anyone is considering staying at the hotel the rooms are lovely, if the weather is hot just simply ask the desk for a fan as these were used!!! I would recommend this venue to any and everyone!!

   Had a special deal with bed & breakfast & a 7 course taster evening menu with wines. They were full sized portions & although very delicious, no way you you eat it all, only half at most which is a waste of very good food. Enjoyed the 2 night stay. Breakfast excellent.

   Overall the hotel was quite good especially for the room. In future, hope they can have a lot of options for vegetarian. Seems a little bit unsatisfaction about the variety of menu especially for vegetarian.

   Nothing too much trouble for staff.. all waitress in dining room excellent .service. lovely young beginner waitress made us laugh food very good rooms good just stayed for Xmas eve but would stay longer next time

   My wife and I held our wedding here and had an incredible time. We couldn't complement the staff more for everything they did to make the day amazing, make our lives simple and help ensure the guests were happy - the complements have been mirrored to us by our guests who came from a number of different areas and included people with disabilities who felt their needs were catered well. On a number of occasions the staff went well and truly above and beyond, and we will be forever grateful.

   Lovely hotel, only 4 stars as its a listed building so doesn't have air-conditioning. All the staff were very warm, friendly and do their upmost serving or helping. One of the maintenance team kindly let me have his office fan as the hotel had none spare during the hottest day of the year, so thank you much appreciated!
