   Unhelpful and unfriendly staff (other then the odd person who works there) and being a small branch rarely has what you need, phoned ahead was told they had the timber I needed got there in 15 minutes and they'd sold it, had a similar experience a few times there while working nearby , I will say the inside staff are much more helpful then the yard guys, seems like they have to many deliveries to deal with to be able to help people collecting goods

   I recently visited them for some renovation supplies and was impressed by their wide selection of building materials. The staff was knowledgeable and helped me find exactly what I needed. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that checkout took a bit longer than expected.

   Delivered here today and it's by far the worst place I've Delivered to. I've Delivered to hundreds of builders merchants and this one just isn't fit for purpose. I arrived to join a queue of trucks on a road with double red lines and constant traffic. You're running a dangerous operation at this site and someone will be hurt. Also whoever has come up with the no delivery before 10 o clock rule company wide should be fired imeadiately. I hope all haulage firms just refuse to deliver to you, wasting half a drivers day till you see fit to accept us and then have us sit outside for hours while you catch up. Pathetic.

   Possibly the worst experience to date. Asked yard staff for some multifinish, was told there wasn’t any. When I pointed out the 2 pallets I could see, (after some stuttering) was told they were all sold already (this maybe be true, so benefit of the doubt). No worries can I get 1800x900 - 9.5mm wallboards…. Eyes rolled, ‘they're on the top’ followed by an awkward silence I suggested I will go 100 metres down the road and get the lot from Travis Perkins. ‘Yeah ok’ was the response. I will only go back to this if there is no other option (Travis Perkins is closed, seems the only likely reason that would be).

   Was nervous about going here to buy some timber - as a female, places like this can be quite intimidating. I needn't have worried - everyone, from office staff to Ray and the other guys in the yard couldn't have been more helpful, friendly and professional. Ray was very knowledgable and patiently talked me through various options. Although my purchase was relatively small, nothing was skimped on in terms of customer service - it was 5-star throughout!

   Trying to follow COVID 19 rules, I ask the guy on the yard whether I can enter the building, I’m met with we got customers while he is sweeping the floor and his colleague is in the forklift. I wait a while and ask again, same answer this time, I can see I’m being laughed at and they seem to find it funny. I had to ask another customer if one can go in the shop or not. Speechless

   Grossly overpriced. Everything I was after I got so much cheaper at Selco. Take for example Jewsons 50mm wall insulation I was quoted £43.21 and Selco 65mm wall insulation £19.69. So I got a better product for less than half the price.
