A huge store with all you would expect to find in such a place. But my experience was tainted by the woman in control of the carrier bags. I'd done my shop. Probably £30 to £40 for the weekend. Before scanning my items I had to locate a woman in possession of these 40p bags. Personally I don't like the insinuation that I am going to steal a 40p bag where there are numerous goods to pilfer in my own trolly. The fact that this woman ignored my request "can I just have a bag please?" Insisting on doing the decent thing and scanning it for me 30 yards up the shopfloor. I let her go as I exited the shop bagless and headed to Tesco.

Awful customer service, rude and unhelpful. I bought some ready to eat fresh fruit, paid and when I asked about cutlery I was told “go to customer service” and after going there and asking for some, I got told “well, we don’t have to provide it”. There are ways and ways of conveying a message, and the above wouldn’t be one I would have used to a customer. Also beyond me why I would have to go back to customer service when all other supermarkets like Tesco and Waitrose have these by the tills.

Went to pay at car park with pay with phone app which I couldn’t login in to and some worker stopped me and said don’t use they it’s expensive and showed me a ticket machine that had no instructions on it. Worked out you had to press + to then pay. Went into store , got 4 items deal which turned out it was for nectar only, didn’t see the tiny nectar logo as I don’t shop at Sainsbury’s normally . Couldn’t log into nectar account at till so couldn’t claim the deal., it recognised my email but resetting password and code wasn’t accepted. So left and They’ve blocked off the customer service to you have to walk all the way round and then a queue of 5 people and one person serving. Was in a hurray so left £5 worse off. Also huge car park and no EV charging facilities . Won’t be returning. Tesco down the road does 2 hours return , has charging and don’t hide offers behind charge cards.

In Sainsbury's Beckenham the staff's are really good. They are always ready to help when you need to look for something that you want to buy but couldn't find where it was located. They are very friendly especially Debbie.

A large accessible store with a large accessible car park. Plenty of parking spaces, disabled and child parking too. Cost of parking redeemable for, I think, a minimum of£10 spend in store. Wide aisles and kept clean and tidy, no aisles filled with stock cages. Easily navigable in a wheelchair. Shelves kept well stocked. Can get very busy. Tills, some staffed, some you check out your own shopping. Staff a friendly and you can usually find someone on the shop floor. Just about as good as a supermarket gets. More expensive than some and cheaper than others, Nectar loyalty card - definitely would not shop anywhere where you don’t have their loyalty card otherwise you just up spending more than you should.

Very disappointed, very few staff, long queues to pay. Went to self service, lots of them "no entry", found one, put a trolley worth of stuff through and realised card payment only. Haven't got my card so person overseeing the self service just cancelled my shop and told me to join a long queue to pay. Took ages. Come on Sainsbury's - "could do better" get more staff in!!!!

Popped in a few times but never had this trouble, must say I will never use again. Had to pay to park, but the signs say you will get your money back. I've never had an issue with this beforehand. Went inside to get the new prime drinks they have advertised, to find there is none. Get a few bits, go to pay at the till to be told by a very rude lady, that I do not get my parking money back as I haven't spent £10. Literally only been in the shop 5 minutes, and cannot understand how this is fair to customers. I tried to explain the situation, but she was very rude. I never even knew the £10 rule as is not made clear by the signage. I would have spent over £10 if they had the product in stock. They had signs in the shop saying they didn't have the product, but none before you pay for parking. Due to the circumstance I should have had my parking refunded. Staff was so rude she wouldn't even let me explain. I will not be returning.

This Sainsbury’s store offers a truly terrible customer experience. At any given time, there are acres of empty shelves - it’s baffling why Sainsbury’s, alone among the large supermarkets, has this problem. Moreover, instead of supporting the local community by creating minimum wage jobs, there is currently a strong drive to cut labour costs by eliminating check out tills altogether. Since I don’t expect Sainsbury’s staff to do my job, it’s unclear why they expect me to do theirs by using a self-service till for a large grocery shop. Polite efforts to offer constructive customer feedback are met with rudeness or a shrug of the shoulders. Any criticism is water off a duck’s back to the management, whose attitude to the disabled and other vulnerable groups needing physical assistance is as hard as nails. There was a time when Sainsbury’s had a modicum of commitment to customer service, but the current generation of middle managers jettisoned this idea a long time ago, exploiting the pandemic to drive forward a ruthless cost-cutting agenda whose sole outcome is a relentless degradation of standards. Oh, and BTW, the Amazon gift cards they sell don’t work but they don’t seem too bothered.

Extremely busy only 1 till open. Queue's 20+. Skye was amazing! So lovley and friendly. They should not be left on their own like this shame on store management

Very handy for me to shop here local and good disabled parking. The only problem with these big corporations is the lack of serviced tills. I'm constantly having to queue for a very long time as a lack of staffed tills. stop using self checkouts!!! The customer is always right.
