   Ordered a bike on 11/08, cancelled via live chat 12/08. A week later, I had no confirmation. I emailed, apparently the order was never cancelled - never got processed either, so it's a lose-lose. Got told that it's cancelled and it'll be 7 working days for a refund. 7 working days later I email again, where is my money? The finance company chimed in to say it's actually 14 working days. Fine, 12th working day I email to confirm I'll get my money on Tuesday 9th September. TURNS OUT EVANS NEVER SENT THE CANCELLATION TO THE FINANCE COMPANY!!! All these emails and they didn't think maybe to process a refund they need to... Oh, I don't know? PROCESS THE REFUND!!!!! So, a month later I don't know how long I'll have to wait to get my money back, with my wedding in less than 2 months mind you - could use the £100+! I don't know if the finance company will start charging me the monthly fee, either. The only shining light in this crapshow is Ian from the Wigan branch. He has nothing to do with Head Office (party at fault) but when I rang up, he was super helpful and said he will try his best to help and message the HO to lend a hand - they don't even have an internal number, nevermind external so clients can get in touch directly. He took the relevant details, went out of his way, and de-escalated the situation by lightening my mood. Give him a raise, or a promotion - both, ideally. Never been in a worse situation.    I bought a Cube eBike from this store. It was a smooth experience, and about 10 days later, I collected my eBike. Unfortunately, there were small scratches and a mark on the bike frame when I went to collect it, but David was helpful in sorting the issue out for me. I would have loved to give 5 stars, but due to the issue I had, I think it’s fair to give 4 stars. Thanks, David and Evans Cycles.

The level of customer service and overall information provided by David was commendable. He was very helpful and friendly, polite and professional and clearly very proficient in his role.

   Evans Cycle is an excellent bike shop. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. The selection of bikes and bike related items for sale in this shop is second to none, I have never been in a better shop dedicated to bikes and cycling. Within this shop there is also a bike servicing centre which is handy to know if you are not very good with a spanner.

   Visited Shirebrook store today looking for a bigger bike for our daughter. Asked Nigel for assistance so she could try a bike for size, he was so helpful, knowledgable and showed us various bikes he would recommend. Found her the perfect bike for off roading on, that fit her perfectly & that should last her for the next few years. Nothing was too much trouble and even told us about new cycle routes to explore. Excellent customer service.

   I bought a Schwinn Eco 200 Escooter from here a couple of days ago. Although I left a bad review on the scooter, They have helped me, fix the punctures and even swapped the scooter when it broke. Staff are very friendly and act like they actually want to be there.

   Got an absolute bargain on a 2021 Trek fuel EX 8 in XXL. The store manager (sorry can't remember your name) took me through setting up the bike to me height & weight dialing in the suspensions etc, Walked in, pointed at the bike and within an hour I was on my way home with it. Quite rare to find my frame size due to the supply at the minute. My only gripe is that the bike must have been sat for a while on the stand as the tubeless fluid had gone off and failed first proper ride. Had to clean it all out and buy some Muc off fluid which has sorted the holes a treat. Also the back end felt loose on the second ride. Turns out the rear axle had wound its way out and was coming out!! Pedal cap also flung off so I've gone round the whole bike and tightened everything up. Not good if I was flat out on a trail. Found a few small scratches on the frame also which was abit disheartening after spending nearly 3k on a bike. Would of been 5 stars other than the last bits. Would still use again.
