Stayed here to celebrate my dad's 90th birthday. Room was clean but dated. Couldn't fault the service or location
2nd visit, 2nights in September. Nice big car park, large pub and restaurant area, lovely Hungry Horse food. No 1 service bus outside to Liverpool centre...excellent
Basic rooms but very clean. Stayed two nights and ate dinner first night. Large choice on the menu and pub very busy for mid week. A 10 minute walk to metro and into liverpool. Ideal for us.
We stayed here due to the proximity of an event we were attending. The hotel is in desperate need of a revamp. The bath is stained and none of the taps work properly, leaving you to find a towel so you can get the purchase to turn them on/off fully. The bedroom has sockets that are no where near the bed, so if you’re trying to charge a phone overnight (and still need it near you, you require a longer cable which thankfully I always travel with). The whole set up is very dated and I paid less for more in London recently. That said, the staff were very nice and accommodating and I’d probably stay here again (but again, only due to the proximity of where I need to be).
Entered with trepidation the pub with a reputation of"the piano stops playing when the stranger walks in"! ! !..that was then,this is now!,everyone, but everyone ! could of not been more welcoming and friendly !,but,not without talking about this genuine pubs "dark past " ! !..I love it, and highly recommend it ! !
Great staff fantastic food. Very comfortable beds. That comfortable I emailed for the make of the bed and mattress, I will certainly be getting one when I next purchase a bed.
I stayed at the Royal Oak some years ago when it was a Premiere Inn. When I complained about the appalling state of the rooms, inedible breakfast, and meals at night, when as others have observed, mains were often served almost immediately after a starter, I was told that PI did not own it and so were not responsible for the condition of the building. I was thinking that it may have improved under Greene King, but from the low star reviews as recently as December 2022, I think I will still be giving it a miss and stay elsewhere.
This is a really nice pub with their own accommodation on the side so the rooms & pub are on separate sides. This is on the main road, so a little noisy from the passing traffic. The bathroom had a bath with shower which was not very powerful but it did the job. Hand soap, shower gel & towels are provided. The bed was very comfortable in a good sized room. Would definitely recommend
We like the area , and all amenities around and the .fact that we can leave our room and walk in to the pub to eat.also because it had a big outside to sit either with children , or just adults in the surroundings of the pub and plenty of car spaces too . I would like to thank Janet from reception for all her help and also Sarah for her help to nothing was to much and as guests we were made to feel very welcome. Thank you also Jen and leah. We use the royal oak bromborough all the time . Food was also lovely too .
