Came for a viewing of the Tower, booked for 1:45pm i show up at 1:45pm, no agent around, I phone up, no idea where the agent is or who is supposed to be coming to meet me. Told to just wait there and someone will come. I asked if they had my number to contact me when here "im not sure ill pass on your number" how long should I wait? "Im not sure they just said they're finishing a viewing and they'll come" 40 minutes later no one turns up, no one at X1 knows anything about who is coming or when, just get told to wait.

EDIT: I'm reducing my review to one star. After being given a dirty mattress upon arrival, a lift being out of order for two months, no hot water upon arrival, no water at all without warning one particular day, and then the final straw - came home from Manchester to my apartment flooded (must have been a few centimetres deep in some parts) due to a burst flexi pipe in an apartment above. Loads of my belongings were damaged yet X1 or the landlord refuse to accept responsibility or to assist with any repair costs at all, leaving me responsible to pay for damage that was in no way my fault. They've only assisted in repairing the ceiling and skirting, which, of course, because it belongs to them and it's in their own interests. Really poor form and really disappointed. I began reading the poor reviews thinking they might just be bad experiences from disgruntled tenants but considering all of the above has happened within my first two months here, I think they're to be believed. If you're reading this and considering moving to an X1 building - do yourself a favour and don't. I honestly wish I'd stayed where I was and not moved here. If I could leave zero stars, I would; one is too generous. (end of edit) Hasn't been the best move in experience I'll be honest. Mattress was discoloured and stained when I got here, which I reported but wasn't offered a replacement because it had been cleaned and therefore was only deemed cosmetic. The properties I've seen advertised online at The Tower look like they have the mattresses still in the plastic packaging so it was disappointing to find I was given a used one. Only one of the two lifts actually works, and the button to get to the ground floor is missing; in addition, some of the buttons to get to certain floors do not work which means you have to take stairs. Not usually a huge problem but when you're trying to move your bulky/heavy belongings in during moving week, it's not great. I was told during viewings earlier this year that bicycle storage was available but apparently now it isn't, so I don't know what I'm supposed to do with my bike from my last property as the studio I've moved in to is too small to house it. My apartment doesn't seem to have hot water, which I've reported but again it's just not the best experience to have to take the time to raise issues when you've just moved in and wait for people to get back to you and arrange visits when you've got a million other things to do. It could be something simple to fix, but no appliance manuals or instructions have been supplied so I don't know what I can do in the meantime except just wait. Not having hot water is a pretty annoying issue. The fault reporting system itself is fairly straight forward, it's a case of filling in a form online which raises a ticket and then you're contacted when there's an update. It beats waiting on the phone to chase things up. I feel like an induction would have been helpful to go through some common queries for new tenants, such as how to get to the bin room, which I don't feel is clearly signposted in the building itself. Studios themselves are decently sized, not cheap but not many places are now. Concierge staff are friendly and helpful. Furniture provided looks like it's decent quality. Large windows let lots of light in which is always nice. If I can make a suggestion - it'd be great if there was a way to alert tenants when a parcel has been delivered, either via text or e-mail. Not every courier/merchant provides tracking facilities so it'd be nice to know when something has arrived. Not a complaint at all, just an idea for improvement. To be fair to the staff members, I've always received a prompt response whenever I've sent an e-mail over so I have to give credit where it's due. Jennaya has been really helpful and I hope the three stars related to the above shortcomings don't fall on her as those are related to completely separate issues.

I have lived at the X1 tower for almost a year now, I have had no issues at all during the tenancy. The thing that has really struck me is the responsiveness and helpfulness from the lettings team at the X1 tower. In particular, I’d like to mention Jennaya. She has been faultless throughout, very proactive and helpful with any queries I’ve had. She’s gone above and beyond to help me out with any problems and always gotten back to me very quickly. She’s a real asset to the team! The move in process was also really easy and the team involved with that was were very helpful and responsive also.

The boiler in our flat was reported faulty in February, and not a single thing has been done about it. We're in July now, and regarding our efforts to contact X1, there has been no update regarding our issue. It seemed to cause issues with our electricity usage and thus enormously high bills. Again, we reported it and have not heard back. It's not the first time the office struggles with communication. Before traveling to Liverpool to move into the flat we were assured it had been checked and cleaned and is ready for us to move in. After our arrival, the office was surprised we were there and claimed our move-in date was different. It turned out that we were told a lie, as the flat was neither cleaned nor checked after the previous tenants, and we had to do it ourselves as we had nowhere else to go.

I had loads of personal hurdles during my time at X1 and Jennaya supported me the whole time allowing my time at X1 to be far less stressful! I really appreciate that more than she’ll know

They are not professional. I called them last Wednesday to arrange a viewing and “we booked a viewing for Monday at 11 o’clock”. Today I went there and I was waiting for an hour, finally they picked up the phone and they told me they did not have any viewing for today… I have a email where they sent me information about 2 studios because when i called them I said i was looking for a studio. Afterwards I called again and I said I was interested in one of the studio they sent me and I wanted to apply for it and what a coincidence they told me there was not studios available anymore…. Maybe that is why none came for my viewing appointment. I will not recommend this agency at all, they are very unprofessional and rude!

Do not live here. X1 Lettings and Haymarket treat the residents with such contempt it is almost farcical. One lift down for months, the second lift often out of use or blocked, water in the car parks, lack of any appropriate communication. 10 people squeezing into a small lift at a time, it wouldn't be safe even if we were out of a pandemic... It should be illegal.

Since they open this apartments complex till today, still there s no little esentials shops for day to day basics like milk, bread, etc . Need to walk 10min at least to reach to nearest Tesco s or opposite way same time spend it. If u don t have a car is hard with food shops . U can order online from big food stores but is not the same when u choose by u hand . Apartments ok, new brand development but, rents still expensive for what this city offer ,economical speaking and wages are paid . As always there s + and - everywhere
