Beautiful Christmas experience at The Grove. Although you pay a steep price, the staff go out of their way to make your stay comfortable and memorable. The bed was comfy and room temperature coud be adjusted. They had Nespresso machine in the rooms which suited me so well, given there are no cafes for miles around. The breakfast is an experience and is inclusive. Cooked breakfast with every kind of eggs (Royale, Devilled, scrambled) , meat , Turkish you name it. The waiters would even remember your table and your preferences! Christmas eve was the best experience around the fire-pit with carol singers, mulled wine and hot chocolate. Toasted cheese and marshmallows and stroking reindeer. Loved Santa's grotto the next day too. Anytime access to the gym, pool and steam rooms was great. They have 2 cinemas running in the evenings and stroll in their vast spaces is refreshing. The library could be quiter.

Distinctly average in all departmets (except for the spa, perhaps). Food - Known for its buffet, the food was so ordinary, both at breakfast and dinner, that it's not worthty of comparison to most other luxury hotels. Decent variety, yes, but overall it's so far off the pace set by others at this level... Room - Fair condition. It needs a soft refresh in my opinion; the furnishings felt rather drab and some mod cons missing. The exceptions were the bathroom which was laid out well and offered a smidgen of luxury, and a few nice little touches, such as the AC and lighting control next to the bed, but these certainly weren't ubiquitous. Service - The service was so mixed. Some were exceptional; others, perhaps, could use training in etiquette. A very young staff base, and perhaps their lack of assumed experience was telling. The hotel - Beautiful in parts, but mediocre in others. The Glasshouse bar was 'nice', and the restsurant, too, had a good ambience and aesthetic. Xmas decorations spruced up key areas, but otherwise, it wasn't quite the English hotel of olde. Overall: the Grove is living on its name, and not worthy of another visit from me. Others will think differently, though, i'm sure.

Had a lovely celebratory anniversary lunch at The Stables yesterday .Delicious, well presented meals with a delightful ambience. Thank you Sandra who looked after us very professionally and attentively. It was good to meet you and many thanks for the celebratory bubbly which made the experience even more memorable and very much appreciated. (And indeed the special dessert!). Can’t wait to return.

Me and my wife stayed here and the experience was phenomenal. The service was second to none, the staff were super friendly and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and luxurious. The staff are knowledgeable, and informed us about the history of The Grove. Our room was sublime, comfy beds (I prefer a firmer mattress but the one at The Grove was a balance between firm and soft) the room was clean and smelt amazing. The little details (the decor, the presentation of the room and the smell) made the whole experience that extra bit special. The breakfast was a buffet style but all the ingredients were high quality. There were chefs on hand to make eggs the way you wanted and freshly made pastries. The spa area was clean, and very well maintained with an amazing gym facility and huge pool. I am definitely looking forward to returning in the summer with my children, there is an abundance of activities for all the family! Thank you to all the staff at The Grove who made our stay a very memorable experience. Zahoor & Sehrish

We are in the middle of our 3rd stay here this year and it has been phenomenal. Our kids love it here! On this occasion, Marta at the glasshouse was just an absolutely wonderful angel! Her customer service was second to none. Also, we sent out laundry and I was so impressed with how quickly it was returned. It couldn’t have taken more than 90 min! We will definitely keep coming back again and again.

The Legendary Glasshouse at the Grove, what a great place to take your partner, friends or even have an office lunch, dinner or afternoon tea. The food is a buffet yes but not what many associate with buffets, this is a high end buffet with great selection of food from around the world cooked to perfection. And as good as the food is the service is even better, when we sat down waiting staff called Diane came over and immediately introduced themselves and that they would take care of us. This is exactly what they did, and when drinks were delivered late Diane got more upset for us. Diane was absolutely on as were all the other staff who provide the absolute best customer service, polite and genuine conversations. This a definate recommendation for those that are foodies and love a great experience. Various live counters included, Italian pizza and pasta, great and tasty roasts with sirloin and desserts to die for with a fondue chocolate fountain to top it off. The bathrooms are immaculate and self contained with all the amenities you could need. The views and drive through grounds of the Grove were beautiful and picturesque. Put The Grove on your list of must visit dining, you will not be disappointed.

We stayed there whilst attending our niece's wedding. The rooms were clean snd luxurious. The staff were attentive and customer service was excellent. The staff responded promptly to questions concerning missing items. Breakfast buffet was delicious and extensive, as part of the wedding party we had our own exclusive dining area.

We provided the sound system for our friend's memorial service in the Potting Shed yesterday. Every team member we met went out of their way to help us... from the moment we arrived until we left. Nothing was too much trouble. Lovely sincere people. The best ever...thank you so much. The food was excellent too. Peter

My sisters and my mum took me here for my birthday and what can I say...it was spectacular. We went for a buffet lunch and the variety was awesome. We took a walk around the grounds which were really beautiful before chilling in the lounge area. Price point was appropriate for such opulent dinning. Parking was no problem and the vibe was really chilled no stuffy business.

It is its own destination. Place is just stunning. The gardens are a delight, the staff are super friendly and helpful. It's sumptuous, quirky, they had outdoor cinema when I went. What more could you ask. The lounges are just fabulous, each one more gorgeous than the last-I didn't want to leave!!!!
