Love the hotel, rooms are great realy well thought out love the blinds nice modern touch...pool and jacuzzi was brilliant steam and sauna couldnt use as to many ppl please add chairs to family changing for disabled people and remove the broken bench from the disabled room ...so far so good happy untill we went to the bar grill for dinner the level of noise is beyond normal tvs are max volume all night to the point we couldnt even talk to ppl next to us i did mention to reception, the whole night it is like it in the end we left went to our room unlucky for us our room was above it the noise is mad loud banging at one point we looked at each other and said darts must be over someone won because it sounded like chairs or feet banging....nice hotel if u dont want to eat in a bar that only caters for sports fans

DO NOT stay at this hotel! Our experience does not even come close to the 4.5 star rating on Google review. We booked the hotel through the Harry Potter WB studio visit package. Wished we had chosen a different hotel. I would suggest that Harry Potter WB to disassociate with this hotel. We arrived at the hotel in the evening with no walking distance to any restaurant that is open at 7:30pm on a Sunday. The hotel pub & grill food is mediocre at best but expensive. The price to eat at the pub and using room service were different, higher for the room service, and they place an additional surcharge to bringing the tray to your room. The sheet was stained. We had booked for a party of 3. They laid kiddie size mattress on the floor to call that a 3rd bed. The towels were not even hung properly when we walked. There is no conditioner, no tissue paper. We requested room service twice using their "app" service. No one ever answered. Their breakfast ends at 8am on weekday mornings during the holiday season. Who wants to get up at 6am on vacation?! The swimming pool requires adult supervision of kids 16 and under. The policy was never explicit that the adult has to be wearing swim wear sitting by the pool side. Their attendants at the front desk was not friendly and lacks general knowledge of their own hotel policy. Oh, their lift was broken. We had to carry our suitcases up the stairs. The lift was not fixed during out stay. The hotel never offered to help.

Staff was so great!..Super friendly and pleasant. Breakfast was great. Atmosphere was very relaxed and pleasant. Rooms could use a bit of attention...there were stains on the headboard and floor of one of our rooms, like someone had spilled coffee. But the hotel stay was definitely a positive...I still would recommend it!

Had a 3 night stay. Nice hotel and the room was well decorated and bed comfy. Good size shower. The kettle was leaking and I reported it but it was still leaking when I left. Staff friendly. Downside would be the volume of music in the lobby from the bar next door. I had trouble hearing the receptionist when i checked in. Speaking of which beer on the steep side and although food lovely the price was a little eyewatering. A mixed grill is north of £30! The pool was nice but it is shared with lessons. Probably wouldn't stay again but i'm not a big hotel user so don't take this as a negative.

Check-in was quick and easy, but the real highlight for us was the pub. Kajal looked after us and she was honestly brilliant! Really friendly, easy to chat to, and just made us feel comfortable straight away. She kept checking in on us at the right times, made some great suggestions, and you could tell she genuinely cared that we were having a good time. It gave the whole evening such a nice vibe. Thanks to Kajal we had a really chilled, enjoyable night. We’ll definitely be back!

We had booked my nephew and his wife staying at the hotel as part of the Harry Potter tour. It was his wife's birthday and I was late to contact the hotel ( the same day morning) and ask for perhaps something to be provided to make it special. The hotel was amazing for this last minute request and it was unexpected and a great surprise for her. The couple had an amazing time. The room was wonderful too. Thank you, Village Hotel!

We had some friends visiting us from abroad, so we decided to take the kids for some fun at the pool. We went one day before with my friend to check for availability and also to see the place. At the front desk we asked for someone can show us the pool and the spa area. A lady called Eloise took us to the pool entrance and her attitude was wrong from the beginning. We wanted to see what we are paying £25 a person next day, but she obviously didn’t want to spend to much time with us so she was keep telling us to do membership that is more cheaper even though I told here my friends are visiting and we don’t need membership and we just want to pay for the day. Anyway we didn’t see the pool but next day we came (9 of us). Because she didn’t give us any details a day before obviously the kids didn’t have access in the jacuzzi area and the pool water was cold. Anyway we spent 2 hours there and when we left my wife had a problem with the changing Room key bracelet so she seek assistance at the front desk. The same lady Eloise came and obviously she was very frustrated of us being a pain for here. I was waiting in front of the changing room a when she came told me on a very rude tone that o can’t go inside there because it’s the lady’s changing room even though I was waiting for my wife and obviously did not want to enter. Al in one it’s been a disappointing visit taking in consideration the fact that I live in Borehamwood for a long time and I’ve sent so many of my customers to Village Hotel.

We stayed at this hotel on the 22nd October , as a family of 3 via holiday extras for the Harry Potter Tour as part of our daughters 9th birthday present. We arrived at 3pm as planned and headed straight for the pool , which was fantastic for our daughter with plenty of floats and swimming aids if required. The pool, steam room , jacuzzi and sauna were fab. The Room was fantastic , with a stylish design and modern feel . Complete with a modern media wall, Google assistant, hair dryer and hot drink making facilities. The room was spotless . The restaurant was packed but the service was absolutely top draw in the busy circumstances. We thought this hotel was absolutely fantastic and great value for money. Our daughter loved it and that's what counts . Ignore the silly people getting kicks out of writing bad reviews as they don't think for one minute that companies in this extraordinary hard climate rely on these reviews to grow their business. This is a strong , modern , professional 4 star hotel that deserves the highest credit. Well done and thank-you for giving our daughter a fantastic experience.
