   Review of a traveling couple, that works has a business in the touristic sector We’ve stayed for 8 nights. This review is not to put shame on the hotel but to help others make the right choice when visiting a beautiful city like London without ruining the experience. 1- Rooms are small, like really small, me and my wife couldn’t walk side to side nowhere in the room. Window wouldn’t close completely so we had cold air coming in every night and if you know london in december you know it ain’t fun, and due to the open window we could clearly hear everything that was going on outside and from outside they could hear everything that was going on inside so no privacy. The lights in the bathroom weren’t functioning, so each time some of us to had to close the door we had to turn on the phone flashlight. There has to be some waterpipe broken in that room because we could hear water flowing in our bathroom floor all night long. And these are a few of the worst things i will not talk about the TV that was as old as the Tower Bridge or the minifridge and the safe that were just non-existent. -Cleaning That too, non-existent in 8 days they changed our bed sheets 1 time, due to the absence of light in the bathroom i can’t say if it was clean, but the only time i looked with the flashlight i saw stuff that was there from ages. Dust allover the place, like there wasn’t a place without dust. Shower tent was literally yellow and not by default, we moved it away the first that, and it wasn’t moved even a millimetre since then. So i assume nobody even entered the bathroom, drying towels: they only gave us one each, so one had to be used to walk on the bathroom floor (because it was too dirty to walk on it barefoot) and the other one (that was face towel size) we had to share it to dry ourselves up, but that is no big deal compared to the fact that the towel smelled like frying oil and had yellow stains all over. The only thing they did was to spray some deodorant every morning in the room and tide the bed, and i purposely end here the description of the cleaning otherwise it would bee too long. -Service We are not that pretentious but we know what a bad, decent, normal and good service is. This one was bad. The guy at the desk had a non-english really strong accent and that alone wouldn’t be a problem in any way. But if you whisper what you are saying and you do it as fast as you can just to get rid of the customers in front of you, i’m sorry but even if you spoke Italian i wouldn’t be able to get what you are saying. On the last night there we had a couple fighting in two rooms next to us (and i mean, can happen), the walls are made of cardboard so it felt like we were in the same room, but at a certain point the yelling was too loud, they were banging metallic stuff on the walls, some kind of allarm went off and even police came, and we were trying to contact the receptionist because i wanted to ensure me and my wife were safe and no one ever answered the calls, so i had to leave my wife alone in the room and check it myself putting me and her at risk. Next… (and this is the least bad thing about the service) everyone has the right to eat, but if the employee at the desk is eating someone has to substitute him, and if that’s not possible you don’t wanna find the guy drinking beer and eating McDonalds in the hotel lobby. Location This is the only good thing about the place, you are only 200 meters away from the district line in the West Brompton station and within 200 you can reach every place in central London, the place around the hotel is quite and safe, I never felt putting me or my wife at risk walking around there even really late at night, so good choice for the location Price Depends on what period you book, we spent 100 euros per night (90 pounds) on Christmas time. Not worth it if you find it cheaper in off-peak months i could be a thinkable choice for no more that 2 days, if you don’t have other solutions. Overall opinion: This place might be good in off peak periods for short business trips. Do not bring your wife!!

   The room wasna good size BUT unfortunately the bathroom was a let down.. shower head wouldn't stay up, the water pressure was basically dribble. There were no floor/bath mats, so had to stand on bathroom floor wet. The windows had a terrible draft coming thru, so it was freezing cold, and only one heater was working. Two single beds, clean sheets, but the beds were a little warm out and uncomfortable. Location was great, next to tube station, and parking underneath hotel but a little expensive.

   Rooms are really small, not cleaned well, old damaged furniture but the bathroom was clean. For the money its okay. Location is great, few steps from train station. And you can get everywhere within 30 mins

   Let's start this review with the good parts, you get a room. Now onto the rest of it. This review is purely based on what we experienced in common areas and our room '203' which was a twin room. 1) One of the elevators was out of order, and the other was so small you would be able to fit 2 people max without luggage 2) Didn't take the elevator cause of point 1 so walked the stairs to the 2nd floor, and the stairwell smelt incredibly fusty, like it hadn't been cleaned in ages. 3) Got to the room which had a tiny bathroom, covered in black mould with the toilet seat incredibly loose such that when I sat down on it without knowing this, I almost fell off. 4) Poorly kept room with stains on the wall, areas that need filling, a broken mirror with stickers on it, and a broken window. There is also no bin in the room, so if you were to have a drink, or snacks then good luck finding somewhere to put the rubbish after. 5) Terrible mattresses such that when I laid down on it there was no support, and with it having a metal frame underneath, I felt the entire bed frame all night. The other bed was better, but same situation with the mattress, was just lucky it was on a divan base. Needless to say, I will never stay here again, and would not recommend to anyone. But, think it will look good when it's finished.

   This hotel offers real value for money. Few metres from the train/tube station with eateries at walking distance offers a good location. All amenities functions well even though they might look old but very neat and clean. Good staff too.

   At first we were sceptical about the reviews we read when we booked however we stayed for four nights last week. Room was a bit small but it’s in the centre of London and basically you are paying for location. We spend most of the days outside exploring London so only used the hotel to sleep. It’s very basic but it has what you need. If your looking for a better hotel there is Ibis which is more expensive. We would stay here again in future , I think a lot of people expect more for their money but in reality this is London so if you don’t want to pay much go here. If you expect more then maybe find another hotel that serves your needs. Easy access to metro and bus services - pubs down the road including shops. No issues when we stayed.

   Our experience at Lily hotel was more than miserable. We were 4 canadian friends, with two rooms. We all traveled a lot, and we have never seen an unsanatary hotel like this. First, the rooms were not clean at all; in the first room, everything was dirty, and unsanitary We found blood in our sheets, along with hairs and eyelashes. The floor was dirty, as well as the shower and the desk. The water from the tub was brown. We didn't want to brush our teeth because of it. The main bathroom light was not working. The second room was as dirty as the first one, luckily we had 1 toilet paper roll. When we arrived the windows were open in both of the rooms. It was 4 degrees outside and it was 11pm.We slept in the cold, and it took a good 12 hours to get the warmth back. On the second day, after the maid had 'clean' our room, we entered our room with a intense smell of cigarette. The smell was so intense, we had to open the windows for 4 hours at night time. We know someone used a cigarette in our room, it is undeniable because the smell arrived all of a suden after the room was cleaned, and none of us smokes. There were no towels, and no toilet paper. We had to ask for everything. We had to sleep with our clothes on because of the hairs in the bed, we felt like It was not clean. The hallways of the hotel were dirty, there were towels on the ground to leave the doors open between each section on each floors, the carpets where dusty and the walls stained with yellow marks. We are students who paid a lot to travel to London, and it made our experience miserable, we were tired because we couldn't sleep with the cold. This hotel was a disaster, don't pay the price.

   Very expensive hotel for what it is !! The quality of the room is so poor. You can barely walk in it's so tight. The curtain for the shower is disgusting. Without saying all the noise in the car park. So pay 100£ more and book at the ibis !

   * Room looks nothing like the one in the pictures. It's extremely small and outdated. * It will take you 1 hour to take a proper shower, there's barely any water coming out. * Towels smell funky. * Our heater was not working and they said they had received the same complaint from other guests. * 4 floors but elevator only goes up to number 3 so if you have heavy luggages and they give you a room on the 4th like they did to me, you will have to carry them upstairs. * Fire alarm went off twice in 3 days, probably due to smokers. * Window can be easily opened but can't say the same about closing it. * They do not give you a "Do not disturb" sign. A cleaning lady came into our room at 8 in the morning (she knocked for 2 seconds, did not have time to even react since we were sleeping). * Toilet is extremely close to the bathtub, if you're slightly tall your knees will hit it. * Shower curtain is very ugly, makes the place look ghetto and is too long so here and there you will find yourself stepping on it as you take a shower. * Only one trash can (bathroom one) and no lid.
