I have been staying at this hotel consistantly for a while as i work away from home and have been having dinner at the Cast Iron Grill where the food is enjoyable but what really makes my experience feel like home is Ioana when i feel home sick. She has gone above and beyond to cater for my nightly dinners and made sure whether its my glass of water or pint of beer, it never goes empty. She mixes proffesionalism with friendliness so well that most of the time it feels like i am just talking to a friend until she walks away and is back in a flash with my cookie dough or sticky toffee pudding! Her confidence and energy immidietly stood out and she handled every busy dinner period effortlessly, making it look second nature to be under pressure. In fairness the food is pretty good but i keep coming back because Ioana really is the secret ingredient to the recipe! Would hire her in a heartbeat!!!

During my stay at the hotel, I had the pleasure of being served several times by Ioana at the restaurant — and she was absolutely outstanding. Not only is she professional, kind, and always attentive to every detail, but she also speaks Spanish, which made communication much easier for me. She took the time to recommend the best dishes from the menu based on my tastes, and she was spot on every time. Ioana made every dinner feel special. Thank you for the top-notch service!

Me and my husband stayed here, in a bridal suite. The day of our wedding, they messed up our bookings so my husband spent most of the afternoon dealing with rude staff who had no idea what they where doing, which delayed the process of him getting ready and being able to enjoy his day! Our bridal suite was mouldy. Mould up the curtains and the walls. The balcony was filfy, covered in cob webs and looked like it had never been cleaned. We didn't once get a complimentary drink for our stay as husband and wife. The only drink we got was a carton of water in the fridge. Our cleaner, last minute, put petals on our bed because no one else had even bothered to make the effort. The night before my wedding, my mum and sister joined me. We decided to eat at the restaurant. It was very over priced for what you got, food was basic, very bland and the waitress got the ump with us because we wanted to eat outside on a hot day. In all, my experience of this place was very disappointing. Very poorly managed, lack of communication, no consideration for guests and no pleasant manner about this place atall. Not recommended!!! I will be writing a huge letter of complaint and know never to use this place again.

EDIT (In response to the reply to this review): As was correctly pointed out, I was refunded once, and my deposit returned. However the hotel are still holding on to a pending charge of £117. I tried calling the hotel on the number provided, but there was no answer. Please advise?! ----- Original review ------ The hotel itself is very clean, modern and well-presented, though carrying heavy luggage upstairs wasn’t ideal as there are no lifts. Reception staff were a little standoffish but otherwise fine. We were only given one hand towel and one body towel - which is odd for a stay for two people, but it was one night so didn't bother making a fuss. The real issue is billing. I was charged three times for my room (£117) plus a £50 deposit, which I only got back after chasing. One refund has been processed, but another £117 charge is still pending on my account 11 days later. The hotel claims they can’t see it, but my bank says it’s the hotel holding the money. I now, unless the hotel release it, have to wait up to 30 days for it to expire and return to me, which has caused a huge amount of stress and financial strain. What makes this worse is the sense that if you’re not a typical high-spending Marriott guest, your concerns aren’t treated with the same urgency. £117 might not matter to some, but it matters to me. For a chain like Marriott, this lack of care is really disappointing. Until this is resolved, I couldn’t recommend staying here - not worth the hassle.

The 3 stars for the rooms are because there are no power outlets on the bed sides. Apart from this, the room was clean and spacious. They are under renovation: I hope this will improve the rooms.

First time staying here and it was amazing! Soon as I walked in I was greeted with respect. Very helpful staff members throughout also. The room was really well laid out, big TV, comfy bed, extra comfy pillows. It had everything I needed. There is also a gym facility and swimming facility on site which is an added bonus. I want to thank Chardeep for helping me with this booking to be smooth as possible, made sure I was reassured everything will be great. I even asked for room service for a few bits which came soo quick! I will be returning back again

My kids loved the pool here. I gave the place 5 stars for the pool and the most reasonable prices relative to property quality. It isn't a luxury hotel to be sure, but it has a decent bar, an ok fitness centre, good pool, and easily accessible from M25. Beds are quite comfortable. Plenty of activities and food choices in the area, too.
