Aloft is one of my favorite Marriott brands, mainly because itβs pet-friendly β and genuinely so. This time, my husband and I stayed here with our two dogs, and the hotel even provided some small dog toys. The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly towards our dogs, which we really appreciated. Location: The hotel is located near ExCeL London and is directly connected to the exhibition centre, making it very convenient if youβre attending an event. For us, though, it felt a bit far from the city centre, and getting a uber wasn't always easy. That said, it's very close to London City Airport, yet we couldn't hear any airplane noise at all. Room: Our room was spacious, clean, and surprisingly good value at just over Β£160 per night. It even had two bathrooms, which was a nice bonus. The king-size bed was very comfortable, and the room also came with a dog bed and bowls, which made traveling with pets much easier. Breakfast: We booked a rate with breakfast included. It was a classic English breakfast selection and tasted decent overall. Overall: Great value for money and an excellent choice if youβre traveling with pets, especially for events at ExCeL.

Stayed here a few nights with husband and 2 small kids aged 3 and 6. Our room had 2 double beds and a shower room with shower gel and shampoo. Black out blinds and little fridge and kettle . The bed was clean and very cozy. We had booked last minute and was greeted by Harry on front desk. Who was very welcoming and smiling. It was the start of a wonderful first stay. The suna and steam room are great size and lovely . And the swimming pool was great and good temperature for the kids. Good transport links to the greenwhich o2. Our stay came with breakfast. Great options and fresh food. Lovely service especially form a young slim black boy with short hair, Indian lady and a girl from Hong Kong named Anisha. Was all lovely β¦ no complaints. Chinese restaurant round the corner as we didnβt stay for dinner only had booked breakfast. Would return. Thank you!

Customer service was excellent!! Clean rooms and amazing facilities including a pool, sauna, steam room, buffet, mini shop, bar, gym and common areas. Although itβs out off central London itβs connected to the entrance to the station where you can get easy access. Staff are very accommodating to your needs and extremely friendly. I will be returning. One note the buffet was quite basic and limited however there is everything that you need to have an enjoyable meal.

Stayed here for an event that was taking place for the whole weekend. Itβs a nice hotel and very convenient location for DLR + Excel Centre. There was a few things though that made the rating lower. First night we stayed we went to the restaurant to eat. Whilst the service + food was good, we didnβt really expect staff to essentially push us to verbally give a positive review, along with asking to do the same online. Then around 9pm, we had someone knock the door and after answering it tell one of our group that βI know you are all excited for comic con, but can you please keep the noise downβ We believe this was maybe the hotel manager, but we were all just chatting at a reasonable indoor voice volume and it was only our friend that was preparing hot drinks near the door, that seemed to have warranted this βcomplaintβ as the talking would have been louder if you was right by the door. To note - throughout our stay we heard doors slamming, people running up and down the hallways and on the Saturday those that were staying next to us were having a full on karaoke session and banging against the wall. We were there for the event but not for the same reasons as potentially other guests so assumptions were definitely made about us. After returning to our room each evening after a long day working the event, we would find that not enough towels were provided, being given chamomile tea when we had used the breakfast tea supply only, and finding what looked like a purple juice stain on some of the bed sheets. The light where the coffee/tea was stored kept turning on and off throughout the night which felt like someone else was in the room. Also the WiFi + tv was rubbish- not really great if you wanted to connect any devices. Would we stay again? Maybe, but we have stayed in other hotels around the area that whilst are not as close as this one to the Excel, we had better experiences.

Haven't used the hotel accommodation, just the swimming pool, but the hotel looks really clean and the staff from reception to housekeeping are extremely helpful and friendly. Always there to help with any issues or questions. The lobby its nice as well- it's self service which honestly i think its better ,because you can pick whatever you want, dont need to wait for a waitress to pick your order ,and then waiting for it again to pay. You are paying at reception. They have a good choice for drinks and food.

A great hotel in a perfect location for working at Excel. On check in a Β£50 deposit is required which I paid on my card, the room was prepaid. On check out the deposit was due to be refunded in full, however they credited the travel agent's card instead of my own. 2 months later, multiple phone calls and emails they have admitted their mistake but not rectified their error so I am still Β£50 out of pocket

Room was very nice and spacious. Came equipped with ironing board and iron. Large TV, however there was difficulty connecting to phone despite following directions on screen. Reception staff came across as cold and unwelcoming. No smile, no good morning and put me off the hotel to be honest. Check-in time was far too long and although a staff member offered water/tea to those waiting. I was initially not extended this courtesy. They need more staff on desk to accommodate this and left me a little frustrated. Restaurant staff were lovely and made up a little for sub-par customer service at desk. Starters were tasty and fresh, however my main left me a little disappointed and took a while to come. Despite the nice rooms and lovely restaurant staff I don't think I would visit again.

Very lovely, comfortable and neat room down to the towels! Pleasant welcoming and helpful staff. Great location about two minutes walk to the bus stop and train station. Delicious, mouthwatering and affordable meal in a very clean and hygienic restaurant. I'd place great emphasis on the pleasant and welcoming staff (Malika, Gennaro, etc.) I came in contact with. The staff is the major reason why I'd definitely stay here whenever I am in the area.

Absolutely awful experience. Between the construction noise and the rerouting to the parking lot it causes. The check in staff was unhelpful, very few dining choices on site, and the app to order room service has limited hours, if it works at all. But the best part.... wanna use the pool after a long day at a trade show. Hope you like kids! They are giving swim lessons in the very small hotel pool, so it's dozens of kids and parents taking up the entire facility making it unusable for guests. Couldn't make that up if I tried.
