My parents have taken our animals to this clinc for 10 years at least. They always take such great care of the animals. We took our family dog recently to say goodbye and Stuart was excellent. Friendly, kind and personable. Truly couldn't have asked for a better experience in such a vulnerable time. Thanks again, Stuart.

Perfect. Steve and his nurses are the kindest, most caring and most knowledgeable animal professionals you could hope to find. I cannot praise their care highly enough. Thank you.

BEWARE !Not very happy at all. They were happy to take the fee for cat health check and boosters a bit early, but when I did not want a £300 blood test they suggested for my 19 year old cat , suddenly they were not interested in doing my cat booster early !! After many many years with this cat and others before I shall not be returning to do it all again in 4 weeks time just so they can claim another fee. Maybe they thought I was so old now I'd be intimidated :( Be very aware. I did phone back to confirm my understanding that I would be paying again in 4 weeks for something I had taken my cat for a few days ago and YES I am correct. They want to charge again. Not trustworthy at all.

Friendly, helpful staff and vets. The cost of pet care is astronomical - £500 for blood tests today - but probably outside their control and what can you do when you love your pet?

I have been using this practice for over a decade. Always more than happy with the service. Steve is incredibly friendly, as are the rest of the staff bar one. Unfortunately Stuart Gardener has an extremely direct approach and certainly isn’t friendly like the rest of the staff. I have found this to be the case on previous occasions but thought nothing of it as we can all have ‘bad ‘ days but its clearly more than that. I take no pleasure in saying this but I felt uncomfortable at the last visit, and I should not be paying a lot of money to feel like that.

We went with a dog that was going to be euthanaised. We were treated with respect and were taken to a side instead of waiting in a busy waiting area. The vet was very compassionate and consideration was given to us the owners. Instructions given were clear and at no time were we rushed. Given plenty of time to say our goodbyes. Although I didn't see them , I was told that artificial candles were flickering, asking customer's to be considerate as a pet was going to be put to sleep. I thought that was a lovely touch . Well done Ashwood veterinary surgery for the compassion given in such a difficult time

Wow, is it just me or are all vets this expensive? I love my dogs and I'd do anything for them but the uploading on tablets is unreasonable. I don't mind paying for the vet's time and the administration, but come on, times are hard. On my second visit I paid for a prescription and bought the tablets on line at a quarter of the price. If it's not the vets making the profit it's the supplier. I wonder if they have pets?
