Paul is such a wonderful and patient teacher. He is equally skilled at teaching primary as well as secondary students. I would have no hesitation recommending him to adults and children alike.
Paul is a fantastic piano teacher; just within our family he has taught an adult beginner, another adult at grade 4 taking a very traditional classical path, a teenager who had fallen out of love with piano lessons completely prior to coming to him, and a very dyslexic teenager, who has grown both as a musician and as a person through his lessons with Paul. Paul has a fantastic bag of tricks and always knows what approach will work best to encourage, engage and explain to the pupil. His background as a secondary school teacher means he is also brilliant at helping neuro diverse students access music through piano playing, teaching them skills such as patience and focus as well as crucially helping them to excel at something - that sense of achievement is priceless. Finally, he’s a true gentleman, a lovely person, interesting and great fun, and I can’t recommend him highly enough.

Although I have an A level in music, I have never had access to a piano. At age 70, my husband bought me a Clavinova. I found Dunamis School of Music and went with trepidation to meet Paul. What a find! One year on I am thoroughly enjoying my piano lessons, which includes playing duets with Paul. He is also helping me refresh my general music knowledge. I am hoping to take my ASM piano grade 1 in the summer - something I never dreamed of before finding Paul. He is both knowledgeable and encouraging and I cannot recommend him too highly.
