We had a Guinea Pig with a large mass in her stomach, the vet recommended surgery which we went ahead with. It was a success and the biggest tumour they had ever seen. My Guinea is now happy anf eating and popcorning like there is no tomorrow. Thoroughly recommend this practice as went above and beyond.
Ark Vets have been incredible while caring for our beloved guinea pig Peach over the past few months. She became very unwell and it wasn’t clear what was going on. Throughout it all, Inigo showed genuine passion for animal care and welfare, and supported us as a family every step of the way. Inigo always explained every option clearly so we understood what was happening and felt involved in her care. They were flexible with appointments, especially when we needed to come in at short notice, and he helped build our confidence with giving medication at home. That support made such a difference. Our guinea pig is now fully recovered, and we truly believe this wouldn’t have happened without his knowledge, dedication and compassion. A special thank you to Inigo, we can’t thank you enough for everything you’ve done. From the moment you walk through the door, Yvonne’s warm welcome at the desk makes you feel instantly reassured and in good hands. We are so grateful for the outstanding care we received and couldn’t recommend Arch Vets more highly.
Brought my blue tongue skink here a couple of months ago for stuck shed on his toe, the vet was absolutely amazing, very reassuring and saved his toe! Told me everything I'd need to know incase it happens again and made sure I left there 100% sorted. The receptionists were lovely too, very understanding when I was 10+ minutes late and got me straight in. Thank you so much to the whole team, exotic vets are hard to come by and I'm very grateful to have such a fantastic practice within driving distance
Really knowledgeable and kind vets, the reception staff all warm, welcoming and compassionate. We have used them for a few years now unfortunately. Had a couple of pets put to sleep and each time they have been so lovely and empathetic. Really really nice vets - one tiny concern is the rising cost of consultations, I understand prices have gone up everywhere but they seem to have risen quite a lot in the last year or two. Cannot fault the people all the practise though
Visited here due to having a poorly Australian water dragon. The vets were great and very experienced with reptiles. Unfortunately they weren't able to save him. The support they gave was great until the end. Would recommend for any reptile owners.
We were referred to Ark with one of our rescue bunnies with mouth/dental issues in October 2022. We've been thoroughly impressed every time and seen all of the exotics vets now, who have communicated with us and each other about our case, leaving us reassured of the treatment plan. Additionally, the receptionists are consistently kind and really go out of their way to help (thank you!). The cost of treatment is so reasonable, especially given the extent of expertise. You are all utterly amazing!
Today was our first visit to Ark Veterinary Surgery. We were late due to sat nav problems but the reception staff were very kind and understanding. We met Tom who had been recommended to us by Markham Pet Centre as we don't have an avian vet in our area. He was very knowledgeable and did a thorough examination of our parrot and told us clearly the possible reasons for his condition and recommended a treatment plan. I felt we were in very knowledgeable hands and felt confident we were getting the best service possible. We would highly recommend Ark Veterinary Surgery for friendliness, expertise and a high level of service.
I have attended Ark twice with my tortoise in the last 6 months, once was an emergency as she had an egg stuck. I wasn’t registered yet, they did this all over the phone and she was seen within half an hour of me noticing the problem. She was dealt with efficiently and quickly. I then took her for an overall health check yesterday and received a very thorough and comprehensive consultation. Brian the vet listened to my concerns and gave brilliant advice. My tortoise is incredibly stubborn and wouldn’t allow them to complete the treatment in the time allowed so he offered to keep her there for a few hours to give her time to relax and have another attempt. She was collected later with a full bill of health, title of the most stubborn tortoise they’ve ever met and a bravery certificate! Yes they are on the pricey side but you are paying for expertise and experience. I found reception staff very helpful on both occasions. I can’t fault them as a practice.
