   Lovely friendly B&B close to York Station which also has its own car park - we were able to leave our car there for the day after we checked out which was much appreciated. Comfy beds and a great breakfast. Note that there are rooms are on three upper floors with no lift and it around 15 mins walk to the centre of York - this wasn't a problem to us. Would definitely stay here again.

   Close to the Micklegate entrance to York, this place is the perfect base for exploring the bar wall and city beyond. Warm, cozy and with exceptionally welcoming and helpful hosts, The Apple House provides a high standard of accommodation at very competitive rates. Whether you're in York to dive into it's rich history, for a show at the Barbican or a evening exploring the huge range of pubs and restaurants you would be hard pressed to find a better base.

   I can not say enough good things about The Apple House. We came to York on our honeymoon. The loft was spacious, there were snacks waiting and a kettle in the room. The bed was comfy. But the true magic is the owners. It’s rare to be treated that well by a hotel. Not only do you get a full cooked breakfast, it’s made to order. It’s served in a lovely room. You get to select the time you’d like to eat from 4 seatings. Danielle went out of her way to help us find our way around York as it was our first visit. But where they went above and beyond was, I am disabled, her husband took our bags up to our room on the top floor while she was helping us figure out where we wanted to go in the city. And then the next day when we asked her how we got to the train station, she literally picked up my bags and walked my husband and I to the train. It was the kindest thing a hotel owner has ever done for us. We will return to York someday and I wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

   We spent multiple nights here on our recent visit to York. Everything was wonderful. The house is beautiful and the rooms are comfortable. The staff is great and the breakfast is good too. Location is great with a very short walk to the train station and many other things close. Would highly recommend

   Can't recommend this place enough! Very charming, attentive hosts that go way above and beyond caring for their guests. Also a very short walk into town for those able. Highly recommend staying long enough to take advantage of the breakfast. It's rare to get anything more than bread and cheese these days, but here you'll get a home cooked meal. If in York again, we'll be staying here for sure.

   The people who own The Apple House are so nice and pleasant! The house is incredibly cute and in keeping with the York atmosphere. The room and bed were nice and cozy and had everything that was needed. Breakfast was delicious. I highly recommend coming to stay and would absolutely do so again!

   Short walk into York Centre and about 20 minute walk to the race course. Brilliant breakfast; all fresh ingredients and cooked to order. Good vegetarian options. Warm friendly atmosphere and really lovely staff especially Danielle. Our only negative is that our room was looking on the tired side but saying that it was clean. Fresh white bedding and fluffy towels. Would definitely stay again.

   Such a lovely welcome from Danielle on arrival. Everything was excellent, the room was spotlessly clean, the bed so comfortable. Breakfast was lovely both mornings. An excellent location for visiting York centre. Free on site car parking, left the car from arrival to leaving in the knowledge that the car was safe. We thoroughly recommend the Apple House 10/10.
