Great place and fantastic pool and swimming facilities rendered totally pointless by Romsey Rapids refusing to heat the pool properly. It’s bloody freezing and therefore any visit is marred by catching pneumonia. What’s the point of that?? I’d rather pay a little extra and actually have a nice time.

Facilities are very appealing to families with children (very child friendly place to be fair.) Below are the reasons why I rated it 2 stars but I'm happy to review it in the future and hopefully rate it higher... -As a monthly paying parent of a child who attends swimming lessons I have to say that recently the place has been making some poor business decisions (which have been noticed by monthly paying families as a collective). We all understand that prices tend to go up and especially when they've now implemented what they call "the 50 week a year system" but on top of that having to pay extra for soft playground after kids swimming lessons where they have a bit of an opportunity to socialise with their friends of their groups is being looked at as a very bad decision. It would make more sense to pay extra for it if someone wouldn't be on a monthly plan. Costa would also benefit a bit more from it as parents socialise and for example "hey let's grab a coffee and catch up" or the kids burning their energy and then ask for snacks which would be a "win-win" for all parties. I've mentioned this in the reception but all I was told was "it's a different company"... I hope Mr Ian sees this review and actually consider giving access to those who have an active monthly plan for their kids at least. Even if it's indeed different companies.... both would only benefit from kids who have classes playing freely right? On top of this, it would be nice to see the cleaning standards improved since the prices have increased; the floor in the changing rooms is usually pretty messy and perhaps add a couple of extra family changing cubicles?!

We are from Southampton but we are rather will travel to the Romsey Rapids swimming pool when spent our time in west quay swimming pool, because it's small and there's nothing what to do .My daughter loves to go to the Romsey rapid sport complex. There is so fun and so much what to do . We were impressed with the big slide. It is worth to go there.

Second visit, nice pool for kids and family to enjoy, price is very reasonable perfect for family as we still had to travel to the distanation , nice slide which kids love to go on , can get busy good number of staff having to keep an eye on. Will visit again for sure. Be aware Monday-Friday only part of the pool is in use, slides and kids part are closed!!! Which it was a shame for me to find out on the day as I undrustood that the slide wur only going to be closed during week day but unfortunately it was most of the pool too which limited the swimming which was a very big disappointment and should atlest have the rest of the pool to be used . The staff’s are amazing having to keep an eye on everyone on the other hand.

Had a lot of fun! Took my 6 month old son there, we’ve had a lot of fun. Wish the water was a bit warmer but not too bad. The only thing I will complain about is the fact that none of the changing rooms had baby changing table and having a baby that rolls while being dressed was not only difficult to manage but also dangerous. Both β€œfamily changing” rooms were locked. Please can you change this. Thank you! We also enjoyed a nice warm drink after swimming in the cafe. Booked tickets online and entered very fast.

For a reasonable price it is a good mid level place for kids. My son loves it here. There are multiple swim and frolick areas for children of all ages to enjoy and the highlight is the water slide which is fast and exciting. Facilities are clean and there are family changing rooms however parking although free is difficult most times so arriving at least 15 minutes before your visit is recommended.

A great pool complex to take your kids to, my three grandchildren love it. A good mix of pools, slides etc to suit all ages. Free car parking. Costa coffee shop upstairs with seating from which you can watch the pool area. Decent changing areas which are warm and clean, plenty of free to use hand held hair driers.

Romsey rapids is a great place for all ages, everything is kept clean and well maintained. There's accessibility to all levels including the Costa cafe. Having a disabled swim time is great as it gives enough time to people who need it and not as busy as the family/public swim days.

I missed the first 30 minutes of my 1 hour time slot due to traffic and it was still amazing, fun for all ages and very rearly a line. There was also plenty of free to use additional equipment such as an outdoor gym. There was also an 18 hole adventure golf course that you can go on for free if you just go swimming first. It was fun but very much in need of maintenance. This is what takes away one star. Overall, amazing place to go if you want to get hit by literal gets of water.
