Absolutely excellent food! The carvery is great value for money the meat was so tender and the veg is sooooooo tasty.
Excellent chips! I had a steak and ale pie. Puff pastry was Ok but I prefer short crust pastry on pies. The steak was lean and full of flavour. The veg were just soft carrots and peas so could have been better. I suggest trying some other veg like Broccoli. I hate having to open plastic sachets for vinegar and sauces etc! My dessert was a white chocolate summer berry cheesecake. Not a proper cheesecake and too sweet. Served with ice cream. My three friends had different meals and we all agreed that the food on average was good but could have been better. Still worth 4 stars and we will go there again.
We normally visit Misty Waters for the Sunday carvery which is top notch but decided to try a week day meal. The food was lovely, really tasty and piping hot. Shame that there were only a few other customers there as its a great place, great food, drink and service.
Came today for my first ever carvery. Won't go anywhere else now . Staff so friendly and helpful and everything was fresh and hot and plenty of it . Meat was beautiful. I hadn't eaten since yesterday hence the portion size I got . Will be going back again for sure . Loved it .
Great value for money food . Staff very pleasant. Met my sister's here for a birthday lunch all agreed we'd go back . My only gripe was no accessibility toilet and had to weave my way through beer kegs with my walker . But access into the property was fine .
Myself and my family came here for a mothers day carvery! Your welcomed in straight away and they find you a table to be seated. Theres 5 different meats to choice from and loads of fresh potatoes and veg. Complements to the chef doug foods amazing and all the team are very helpful & friendly. The staff dont stop, making sure all the tables are cleared asap ready for the next family. 100% recommended if you want a spot on carvery and thank you kellie and team your customer service is outstanding!! At the wake: What a disorganised venue. Looking for coffee cups as they had broken some. Rude staff as my auntie's (who's husband had passed away) sister wanted some food and the woman had a go saying it's going to the house and to top it off they had an 80th birthday singing happy birthday party at the other end of the screen! Absolutely shocking! Won't ever recommend or visit again!!
What a great feed , I had the super size plate an was awesome for the price. I recommend to some friends an they went an they enjoyed as well. Well recommended.
Staying at the caravan site next door and decided to nip in to try the food for the first time for their carvery. Staff very friendly and the pub looks lovely so is very pleasant to spend time inside or outside. Lots of seating and a play area for children. Definitely recommend. UPDATE: Ate here a second night and the food was good pub grub home cooked at a reasonable price.
