Ordered 3 pieces of toast and 2 hot drinks....sitting outside area with a child and a dog. Hot drinks finished and had to ask where the toast was. Three pieces of toast and 1 jar of jam. Charged just over £15. We were not given a menu or told that it was as stated on the menu otherwise would have ordered 3 lots. After checking the menu at home we could see we were well and truly ripped off. The menu states £2.75 per 2 pieces with a jar of jam. Poor service and disappointed that drinks were finished and still no toast. Possibly better service inside as no one came to take our order till I went in to ask.

Tanskeys Bistro is a bustling and busy cafe with great, friendly service and amazing views. We stopped for a tea and coffee and sat in the conservatory area. The chairs also have complimentary blankets, which is a nice touch. This area is dog friendly and our server kindly brought a cup of dog treats for our pets. Two teas, and two cappuccinos came in at £13.

We celebrated my wife’s 50th here and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The venue was fantastic, and we were able to dress it exactly the way we wanted. Communication was excellent throughout, and nothing was too much trouble for Jonathan and his team. If you’re looking for an intimate occasion with a stunning backdrop, look no further!

Hannah and her team took on the mammoth task of catering for our garden wedding last week. Hannah went above and beyond on the run up to the wedding meeting numerous times to discuss menus, drinks options and also helped to sort other necessities such as bins and bar hire. Hannah ensured the event ran smoothly from start to finish, overseeing every last detail. Will and Pauline headed up the staffing on the day and were simply fabulous. They were friendly and professional and worked non stop. I can’t thank the team enough for everything they did to ensure we had the perfect day.

Love the cosy & friendly atmosphere here and great views looking out over the lake. The scones are to die for, served warm with all the trimmings, yummy! Perfect stop off on a walk. Highly recommend. Worth every penny.

When a friend asked me for advice on a venue to hold a Charity Event I had no hesitation in recommending Tanskeys. Hannah and her team pulled out all the stops and made it a night to remember. Food was excellent and so tasty and the service was second to none. If you want to book a party celebration or just have a drink or a bite to eat then go to Tanskeys, you won't be disappointed!!

Very nice place. Nice decor. Friendly staff. Good views out across the marina and sea. Coffee was nice and reasonably priced too. Food looked good although we only had a drink.
