I can see why this Italian restaurant is so popular; the food was excellent and exactly what I’d expect from an authentic Italian place. The flavours were spot on, portions were generous, and the overall atmosphere was warm and lively. However, my experience was affected by the service. My waitress Hikary made an unnecessary comment when I asked for her recommendations before ordering. After deciding on my meal, she remarked, “That’s what I told you in the beginning but you said no,” which felt a bit dismissive. I had only asked her to guide me through the popular dishes, so the remark came across as unprofessional and very condescending. It’s a shame because everything else about the restaurant was wonderful. I’d still recommend it (for the food), but I hope the service experience can be improved. Unnecessary remarks should not be told to customers, especially when they’re not in the fault. Note: for some reason, the name on my receipt says Stefano, which is not accurate to the server that served me.

Had a good dinner here while staying in Edinburgh for a couple days. There was a 5 to 10 minute wait, so not bad. This was a nice restaurant just a block down from the Royal Mile. For food, we ordered the focaccia appetizer, Raviolini Gorgonzola & Pear, and Fish Stew. The focaccia was excellent and my wife loved the raviolini. I thought the fish stew was good, but not great. Had good flavor, but was a fairly small serving. Service was good and efficient. Definitely worth a visit for good Italian food.

Came back to this busy restaurant during the Fringe and we were welcomed warmly and found a table for the three of us. Excellent, attentive service. Started out with olives and garlic bread and then on to some wonderful mains. On the pricey side, but this is central Edinburgh and the dishes were overflowing with value. I really enjoyed the Chicken Milanese. We were not rushed out and found time for coffee. Warmly recommend this restaurant. We will be back.

We had our first meal in Edinburgh at the Vottoria. The staff were very friendly and nice. We had fun conversations with them. The food was just okay. I have been in a lot of Italian restaurants and this one the only that I felt I had to add something on it like salt or pepper or something else. We met one of our friends here and we had a great time and enjoyed the restaurant.

Beautiful restaurant! We booked in advance for 7.45pm and we were pleased we had, the restaurant was very busy. Staff were excellent, very friendly and attentive and service was quick. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Will definitely return next time we visit Edinburgh.

Ravioli Leandro was so scrumptious that we ordered twice for our glutton's delight. The authentic Italian restaurant is no less than a story of a chance visit for a casual lunch with family and toddlers, that turned out to be the best decision we made after the day long stroll in the town and the Royal Mile. They gracefully accepted our demands to the choice of our own toppings on Pizza, when we wanted to swap the meat with veggies from their famous pizza menu offerings. The place is definitely the best one on the street and highly recommended.

Very very busy recommend you book. Staff friendly. So many people coming in to eat. Meal tasty Table where we were sitting was close to the door, so cold draft needed coat over my shoulders. Restroom definitely needs upgrading.

The best Italian restaurant in Edinburgh. Great atmosphere, professional staff with amazing authentic Italian food in the heart of the city. Went there for our Valentines meal. Had a gorgeous set menu meal and everything was fresh and tasty. Had the mussels as a starter, tagliatelle Vittoria, ham and artichoke pizza and lemon meringue Sundae. I can not recommend Vittoria highly enough. Simply A.M.A.Z.I.N.G!
