Delicious food!:) first time in Scotland and honestly the small plates of the Scottish egg and haggis were my first bites of the food here. Really grateful this is where I wandered into. Attentive and kind staff as well as a warm atmosphere.
The food was grand although the sticky toffee pudding was pretty dry. The restaurant got quite busy and unfortunately they only had one server on the floor which made service a bit slow, which we understood as he was taking care of 13 plus tables. Overall a good experience and cant wait to go back.
First of all, I want to highlight that this is a pet-friendly restaurant, even offering a dog menu (which I really appreciate). The service was excellent. They are committed to providing good service to us and our dogs. This was my first experience of Scottish cuisine, and this restaurant provided the best one.
The vibe is more like an industrial-style bar, which you might enjoy. It’s a very spacious place, not far from other bars. The cocktail was okay, nothing special, but still good. If you sit near the door, it might get a bit cold during winter, so it’s better to choose a table closer to the center. I recommend you to take the haggis with the fries, it was really good!
Super friendly staff, attentive service and brilliant food! Great place to have a classy bit to eat after 10pm. It's hard to find that in this city, but this place definitely has what you need. Big shout out to the servers in my picture. You made the end of the night enjoyable. Cheers!
Visited this place after accidentally leaving it too late to go to any other restaurants as they had all closed, but very glad to have come! We both enjoyed the Scotsman burgers, which was very, very tasty. The chili jam gave it such a great flavour, and the chips were also very good. Also shared a raspberry mojito, which absolutely hit the spot. The atmosphere was that of a beer hall with the bench-tables, which I loved but may not be for everyone. We didn't stay long enough but I can imagine it would be a lovely place to hang and have drinks with friends after a long week. Definitely would visit again!
Very spacious place, decent cocktail selection and good range of beer/wine options. Food was tasty and well presented. The place is overall clean, friendly staff and quick service!
The mood of OX184 is very modern and young. One can have drinks till 3am but the kitchen is open till midnight. We got the pork steak and a couple of beers. The drinks were good, they have a daily special beer that one needs to ask info about. This time it was infused with some red fruits. The pork steak was definitely too fat and greasy. The fat part was too big and we discovered it only after pouring the butter on top. That's unfortunate. The staff was friendly anyway and we got a candy at the end.
Very accommodating and a lovely atmosphere. Found ourselves here on a whim due to issues with our actual booked venue being closed when we arrived. Service was quick and friendly, very good selection of craft ales. Food was absolutely delicious, we did order sweet potato fries with my husbands steak but it came with the rustic fries. The gent serving us was apologetic and was quick to offer to ring them in for us. We said it was no problem we will just stick with the rustic fries and they were very tasty.
Absolutely nice restaurant with lovely staff. The food was amazing and the environment very cozy. Options for vegans, vegetarians are of course available. Very good cocktails too
