Arrived in Edinburg late was looking for the restaurant that are open and they clearly write they close at 0:30. Went in at not even 11pm they’re already cleaning and got told we could dine in but they will serve in takeaway containers ( I assumed their kitchen hand has left or they just didn’t wanna do more washing) but Got charged £3 for containers eventually which is not our issue and the guy said clearly’ yes we charge because you had your food in take away containers’ which we had no options anyway. Didn’t wanna argue about it to ruin my trip as the guy was impatient and rude but if you guys don’t wanna clean you can close earlier or write clearly ‘takeaway only’ from a specific time. Updated - carefully checked the receipts and noticed there’s 10% service fee which I thought the difference would be the container. Don’t know if they count the £3 as the charge of containers or it’s just their service fee, if so no where has specified this charges and I don’t have any good experience from the service not worth it. I even googled if they get paid more in late hours like Australia do ( some restaurants would charge more late nights as the staff get paid more and they would write it on websites or counter but didn’t find anything about that in Scotland)And on top of the 10% service fee the pos machine even came up the options of adding tips lmao Receipts updated

I absolutely love Street of Beijing! The beef with rice and pepper is my favorite dish – full of flavor, perfectly cooked, and always satisfying. The portions are huge, more than enough for a big appetite, which makes it amazing value. The opening time from 12:00 is just perfect for my lunch break, and the service is always quick and friendly. Great food, generous portions, and such a convenient spot on Home Street. Highly recommended!

Food was ok. Definitely a few things I would be curious to try, but perhaps not in a dinner setting. Portions were a bit small, but very well presented: - sweet and sour fish - think frozen fish might be a bit mushy, and odd taste - beef fried ho fan - really good. Would be a good lunch dish and a drink. Maybe some sides - salt and chili squid - great batter, perhaps lacking in the salt and chili taste. Really crunchy - salt and chili wings - lacking in salt and chili taste. Because they may have been fried from cooked, they were slightly overcooked - morning glory and fermented tofu - just small portion. But quite well cooked. Just no chili peppers. - braised lamb in hotpot - this is another star of the show. Ignoring the portion. Really tender, well seasoned, and aromatic

The lamb griddle that they serve is probably the best dish I've ever tasted in the past few years. It has so much flavor to it!!! (Highly Recommended) Also the girl waiting on us was very kind. Overall, me and my friend had a great time. If anything, this place serves you dishes with a wide range of flavors. So, definitely worth visiting.❤️

Amazing food and friendly staff such a cute little restaurant with an intimate atmosphere and extremely generous portions. I had the Spicy Beef noodle soup and was blown away. The beef itself was melting in the mouth and every spoonful of the spicy broth was bursting with flavour with a lovely kick of spice. The pork soup dumplings looked so good I had to have one before taking the picture. Absolutely excellent and so much food I will need a nap after.

Really nice people, they're so sweet. The food is really good too! We'll definitely be back to try more of their menu, really wanna try their soup dumplings! The iced coffee they're doing right now is fantastic!! The gentleman behind the counter recommended it and so do I. Very nice.

The pancake was so delicious. Pork, egg, vegetables with some crispy thing in the pancake. It was one of the most delicious pancakes I have ever had. The service was very good as well. Staffs take good care of the customers with lovely smiles. I highly recommend it.

Top notch Chinese spot in Edinburgh. Very authentic food with great service. You can see them making the dumplings in the window! Our favourite was the pan fried dumplings but everything was great, including their Chinese burger. Been multiple times and consistently delivers. Prices are reasonable (14 dumplings for £9.99). Doesn’t take card, but there’s an ATM across the street.
