   Contini offers a very sophisticated and elegant atmosphere, though future visitors should note it can be quite cold inside. The noise level is moderate to high but still permits easy conversation. I recommend to make booking. The service was a distinct highlight, with the waiters proving to be really attentive throughout the meal!!❤️ The culinary experience began strongly, with appetizers featuring an incredible blend of unexpected flavours. The star of the evening was the Venison Pasta, which was unequivocally the best dish. I had a gluten free version of a mushroom/ suasage pasta. It was good. We finished with an incredible Affogato. Overall, Contini delivers a memorable, high-quality dining experience driven by exceptional food and service.

   Every time I’m in Edinburgh I have to come here for breakfast, I really believe it’s one of the best cooked breakfasts in the UK. The service is fantastic and the food quality is excellent. I’d recommend to anyone looking for a fantastic breakfast. Next time I come to Edinburgh I will definitely be trying the dinner menu.

   The service omg! We been seating outside and it wasn’t even full , find the staff was challenging and asked for a menu 3 times… The food arrived quite quickly but the portions and prices far too high for the quality of the service. The cocktails all over 10 pounds plus 10% service charge. I won’t come back

   Beautiful restaurant. Food is okay, on the pricey end. Service was so/so. Couldn’t get the attention of the staff, drink refills never came. Food came out extremely fast (which we appreciated) and overall left us feeling like we were at a Cheesecake Factory with the speed of the service and rapid turnover rates.

   A nice date, much anticipated, however ultimately left disappointed. The dishes were not worth the price. I was a little underwhelmed. The venue was nice inside and most of the staff were friendly. But yeah, unfortunately just really disappointed in the food. The tiramisu barely tasted of anything. I tried my partners Gnocchi in tomato sauce, I thought that was bound to be a winner, and they even managed to make that pretty boring and tasteless. A real shame. Also was told the pints of beer were pints. They were definitely not pints, more like 330ml. For £6 that’s quite bad.

   Absolutely amazing restaurant. Not one of the tourist traps of restaurants. True Italian food of the best quality. Staff is amazing and check in frequently. Food is very, very good. Environment is exceptional.

   We've been to this restaurant many times in the past years but this is a whole new experience. Drinks were excellent but the rest was a real disappointment. First we ordered fish which came bland and bitter. Usually I don't send the food back but it was inedible. It was then replaced with another meal of our at our request, but turned out just as bad. We received no apology, no complimentary drink or snack. NOTHING. We were charged the full amount including service charge. It's a real shame because the venue is beautiful and the prices are not low. But the owners should really reconsider their staff training in terms of food quality and service. Not sure we will be back until the change of management. Verdict - don't waste your time and money.
