By far the worst place I have ever been in for food and a coffee. Egg roll £1.40 Coffee priced at £1.49 regular, £1.79 large But they do a deal for a single item breakfast roll and a hot drink for £5….. go figure…. So after them getting the 2 people in front of me order wrong and waiting at least 20 mins to be served (3 of us in the shop) I ordered 1 roll with scrambled egg, which was microwaved for 8 minutes, and a black coffee, she tried to charge me £6.50….. After I queried the price, she apologised and tried to charge me £5.50…. I said what I have ordered should be £2.89, according to their own price list, I told them to forget it and sort themselves out, and left the shop. Definitely won’t be back anywhere near the shop. It should be condemned and boarded up. 30 mins of my life I ain’t getting back.

Was excited to check this place out since I had heard the coffee was the best in penicuik. Unfortunately the cappucino tasted like hot milk. I wouldn't even say it was a latte, it tasted very bland. However, the bacon roll and empire biscuits tasted great! I'll definitely be back to this place, just probably won't order any more coffee though.

Just had the best breakfast roll in my life! The staff were smiley and friendly and my food arrived in no time at all. I even got to choose whether my fried egg was soft or hard! Nothing but perfection and a great start to the day, thank you!

Good lunch stop. Baguettes were lovely with a great amount of filling. Option or crusty or soft baguette was great. 2 baguettes and 2 cans of juice for under £10 suits me perfectly!

Thoroughly miserable service. I very politely ordered 2 lorne sausage rolls. One woman took my order and another woman came out and as she threw the lorne sausage onto pre margerined rolls asked "Do you want sauce?" I replied "Brown sauce please". She then went on to apply tomato sauce and I said "I asked for brown sauce" to which she replied "Right" in a curt manner. I was about to say "It's ok I'll take them both" but, no I didn't get the chance. She threw the roll across into a bucket before getting another one. Neither the pair of them could crack a smile between them. It's really not that hard to have manners. I will NOT be back.

Got a dozen Custard Creams for a family get together. Fantastic price and absolutely amazing treat. They didn’t last long at all. The bakes at the place are as good as the photos. We will be back

Fantastic place to go for high quality reasonably priced food. I often go for the hot filled rolls. Very friendly and helpful staff and owners. The local community benefits greatly from this business being there for breakfast and lunch and brunch on the go. Home made cakes and biscuits are amazing!!! Biker friendly great place to stop off on a ride out for a brew and a roll.
