Not very good. The food is under standard especially for a hotel and country club of that caliber. The prices are in the high end and the food is sub standard. The seevice is fine and friendly but absolutely nothing more than to be expected. If you travel by car then go for something else, there are some fine places no more than 10-15 min drive from there.

This restaurant is located in the Dalmahoy hotel Country Club upstairs with a bar. This is a little more casual than the other restaurant The Pentland Restaurant.

Food was OK at best, prices were high, restaurant looked lovely but had a family seated right next to us when we were the only ones in the restaurant was quite awkward. Service was shocking to be frank and a big disappointment as we were really looking forward to this hotel being a nice relaxing stay at the end of a month long trip for us around Scotland. Our breakfast in bed experience was also awful. Ruined the whole stay for me personally.

Disappointed to find a sharp piece of plastic on the cake I was eating glad I spotted it and as I have on going stomach issue and waiting to go back into hospital we did point out the whipped cream was also missing it would have been nice to eat the cake but put off by seeing the plastic we wont be back.

The food wasn’t too bad, slightly nicer looking pub food. Only complaint is the portions were quite small for the price and no veg came with the sausages and mash. We asked about adding broccoli but this would have been £4 extra which is a little ridiculous. Apple crumble was lovely and you couldn’t fault the staff at all! Quick service.

Service was slow and the junior waitress forgot our drink. We had to ask. The prawn cocktails were served in a cocktail glass so tall you had to physically hold the damn things to the plate. Presentation and garnish were good. I had a chicken katsu served with noodles. It’s supposed to be rice and wasn’t mentioned on the menu. The fish cakes was one massive lasagne of a cake. You got a lot but it was two potato sides sandwiching in a slab of fish. Overall not bad, but plenty of potential to improve.

Nice atmosphere and decent service but shame the food was very average. Usually a burger is a safe option, but it was very rubbery. You have to eat it quick and not be sophisticated otherwise you'll be biting a recycled tyre! Over priced for the quality.

If I’m honest an average meal, nothing terrible but just distinctly average, especially for the price. Service was very stretched due to the fact there were only 2 servers. They however were working very hard and were very polite (Dale and Gosia).

We stayed at the Dalmahoy Country Park hotel for 3 nights and visited the Brasserie for dinner on the 2nd night. We had the pork belly with mustard mash….. and it was absolutely delicious. The pork crackling was the best Ive ever had!! Yum yum! The staff were fabulous, attentive and polite. Overall we had fabulous service and a fabulous meal. Thankyou to you all .
