   Very nice hotel, breakfast and dinner were excellent along with the dinner staff. Rooms were spotless and very nicely decorated. Problem with service as we requested over room phone multiple times for a bucked of ice for some champagne as it was my fiancés birthday to which they said they would send one up straight away and it never came.

   I cannot fault this place. Room was spotlessly clean. Amazing shower. Massive TV, comfy bed. Superb coffee/tea making facilities, temp control worked great. One of the best if not the best I've been in for an overnight stay. Staff very helpful and friendly. 10/10

   I recently stayed at this lovely hotel in and had a wonderful experience. The place felt cozy and welcoming from the moment I arrived. One of the biggest conveniences was the on-site parking, which made the trip so much easier. The hospitality was truly exceptional — the staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with anything I needed. The restaurant was another highlight, offering delicious food and a warm atmosphere that made every meal enjoyable. Although the hotel is about a 20-minute drive from central Edinburgh, the comfort, service, and overall experience more than made up for the distance. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

   I stayed at this hotel for a meeting. You can really see a different level of quality here. The staff are friendly and professional, and there’s a nice, unique lounge area. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Slightly more expensive than a usual hotel, but definitely worth it.

   We were gifted a voucher for Dinner Bed &Breakfast as we decided to stay Sunday to Monday we opted for Sunday late lunch and the Bed & Breakfast. From when we arrived we had a very friendly welcome from the reception staff, we were given all the information details. The room was very clean with everything needed for our stay . We had a 3 course lunch which was excellent and the best Sunday lunch we have had in a very long time. As it was an anniversary we had complementary Champagne, the service was exceptional with at least 3 different staff attending us nothing was too much trouble and at the end of the meal we were given a plate with Happy Anniversary written in chocolate with Turkish delight and chocolates very nice touch. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and again excellent service would like to thank Kirsty and all the staff we will definitely come back. Ann and Andy Brown

   My husband and I had a lovely over night stay! The hotel is beautiful, and the room we had was just stunning (executive double). Staff are absolutely fantastic, very professional and nothing was too much bother. We had dinner, and again this was faultless. The calamari and prawn starter was delicious. My husband had the ribeye (rare) and I had the fillet (medium) for the main course. We both agreed the fillet was outstanding, and the wine list to match the steaks was great. We then had desserts, which were thoroughly enjoyed. The seating areas within the bar and lobby are beautiful, and was a great space for a night cap before bed. We will definitely return to this hotel and recommend to others.

   We recently visited The Dakota for a wedding reception. We were waited on by staff with impeccable standards. Having worked in hospitality for many years myself and it was lovely to be served our drinks and canapés by smartly dressed, friendly and very efficient waiting staff. Our meal was excellent. The table was served and cleared after each course extremely smoothly and our water glasses were topped up frequently. Our waiter was in my opinion absolutely top class. He was attentive but not intrusive. We had a wonderful evening and send a big thank you to those who helped make it perfect.

   Great hotel with welcoming reception staff. Our room was very clean with a comfortable bed and everything you needed. The restaurant was very busy for breakfast but the waiting staff were very efficient, especially Samantha who served us with a smile and she was very accommodating. The food was also very good and of a high quality.

   I loved this hotel. The staff was exceptionally wonderful. The room a great size and the bathroom as well. I did not care for the lighting in the room it was a bit too dark. The towel warmers were a lovely little perk and I enjoyed the restaurant downstairs as well. All around great experience.

   The Dakota Edinburgh is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Reception/check in was super fast and the staff helped me with all of my questions. The classic room was spacious enough and very chic and well maintained. My bed was so comfortable I wanted to take the bed home with me. There was a wide selection of teas & coffees in the room with biscuits. There’s also a huge TV in the room too with hundreds of channels to choose from. WiFi is free throughout the hotel and rooms. In the en-suite there’s a selection of luxury toiletries and a drench head shower and handset. The restaurant food is absolutely delicious and prices are reasonable. Furthermore the waitresses kept my water topped up & checked to see if everything was okay. The restaurant service was absolutely fantastic and I couldn’t complain about anything. The bar has a extremely wide selection of drinks and prices were reasonable too. Overall I couldn’t find any faults with this hotel. This hotel is the jewel in the crown of establishments in Edinburgh.
