Beautiful setting for dinner. The children’s meals would have been for an adult. Really good quality food, great service and lovely view!
We had the most amazing wedding at Orocco Pier and I would recommend to any friend or family member to do the same. From the open day, to the weeks/days leading up and on the day the service has been excellent. The level of communication right through the process has been consistent and timely and the team could not do more for us. Sharne (event co-ordinator) was excellent. She had a warm, calm and professional manner that put us at ease. Our guests gave feedback on how good the staff had been and food being incredible. Highly recommend to anyone who is thinking of having their wedding or celebrating any events or just going for dinner.
Orocco Pier is an absolute gem on the waterfront in South Queensferry. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel genuinely welcome — warm smiles, friendly conversation, and excellent service all around. The rooms are modern, beautifully styled, and many have incredible views over the Firth of Forth and the bridges. The restaurant and bar are just as impressive — fresh seafood, creative dishes, and a great atmosphere whether you’re there for breakfast, cocktails, or dinner. The cappuccinos are excellent too! The whole place has a boutique charm — stylish without trying too hard — and the views from the terrace are breathtaking. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Edinburgh or looking for a relaxing waterfront stay. Rooms are very very small!
A very well presented venue. Well laid out, clean, and with wonderful vistas. The staff were excellent and very friendly The food was excellent, though I naked it down a star as we consistently had to wait a long time for the meals to come. Overall can highly recommend.
We stayed here in July and had a gorgeous room overlooking the pocket park and garden across the street. Parking was easy, there were 2 restaurants, and the bathtub was ample. All this would have led to a positive review but hotel staff went above and beyond. I left a valuable piece of jewelry behind and they shipped it overseas for me. Excellent service - highly recommend!
Lovely family meal experience. Really impressed with standard of food. Nachos were best I've had in UK. Staff very attentive and made for a great atmosphere. I like how they don't just rely on their view- they care about everything else too.
Had a great breakfast with the family. It was fairly busy, so you may want to consider making a reservation - especially if you want a large table. The food was really good, but portions were all on the small side. I will definitely be back to try some of the other options. It was a pleasant experience with a great view over the Forth.
we booked in for our daughters wedding and everything from the beautiful background views to the food and to the excellent service from the staff was more like a 1000☆ service. Great choice of venue for weddings with breath taking views. thank you so much for a excellent service on our daughter and daughter laws special day.
We loved the Orroco Pier! Busy place with outstanding views and friendly staff. The food was fresh and delicious! We loved the mussels, the smoked haddock, the beers and the great wine. We liked it so much that we returned the next day for lunch! Thank you!
The food was excellent. We also got as drunk as lords. A fairly extensive menu but not overwhelmingly so. Tasty, well presented and good value food and drinky-poos. If the weather is favourable, take a table outside. The views are lovely (I like bridges). Staff are efficient and very good at what they do. Always show respect for the waiting staff because they work their socks off.
