Taj Dumbarton well what can a say!! Amazing food the curries and pizzas are so so good, staff so helpful very kind as always and very fast when you make your order , most importantly Amar the owner is such a top guy and very kind.
Ordered twice from Taj now and food has been excellent quality. Minor issue with first meal but they were very keen to resolve. Delivery has been fast too. My go to place for Indian food in Dumbarton.
Ordered the mixed tandoori meal, it's the best one I have had from anywhere for a long time all the meat was tender, juicy and had the charcoal taste, rice fresh, curry sauce tasty and nan bread just the right thickness. Very good food.
Waited 2 hours for a delivery and called up after 1.5 hours to be told it had just left. Called again at 2 hour mark to say still not arrived. To be told don't worry will still be hot they send it out in hot bags. Ended up making the kids something instead of making them wait which was lucky because its not here and its 10 mins to bed time. Phoned up to cancel order for them to say drivers 1 Street away so decided to wait. Online said will be here an hour eariler than it was. To owner. Thank you for your response. Don't worry about a replacement meal we got the food in the end. Just would appreciate it if yous could be more honest with the wait times on the website or a call to let customers know its going to be a bit longer than stated. Thank you for the service.
I recently went on a gateway and stumbled across this takeaway. It look pretty modest from outside so I didn’t think much of it. I was wrong, the food for the first time in so long, was above my expectations, if you ever in Dumbarton I would suggest giving it a try. The food was served in sealed trays something that you really need to appreciate in the middle of a pandemic. I had a mixed meat grill and some lamb curry, the meat was seasoned well, you could taste the seasoning even in the burnt spots. My favourite was the lamb curry, delicious it melted in my mouth.
Ordered lamb shish delivery. Live locally and first time. Meat was tasty but overcooked and dry , wasn't that great salad basic and lacking. Was quite expensive 20 quid for 2 don't think I'd get again. Was a disappointing takeaway for fiver more could have nice curry for two locally.
Friendly service, tasty food, also huge portions! Would recommend.
