   We were booked as a group of 8 for drinks only in Jacks Bar. Excellent service from the bar staff with great cocktails to choose from. One of our party is a wheelchair user and everything was very accessible for him and staff were very attentive to move his chair into storage when not required . It got a bit chilly with the air con at one point but staff kindly turned it down on request.

   I recently stayed at the Dakota Hotel in Glasgow for one night, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The room was immaculate, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable — perfect for a relaxing night away. We also had dinner at The Grill, and the food was absolutely fantastic. Every dish was cooked to perfection and full of flavour, with exceptional service to match. It truly elevated the whole stay. Overall, a wonderful hotel with great attention to detail, outstanding food, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. I would highly recommend Dakota Glasgow and look forward to returning!

   The room was amazing. The dinner was amazing. The cocktails were amazing. The outside terrace was amazing. The only thing that let it down was the breakfast. We waited an hour for our food to arrive. I'm going to presume that someone called in sick or something because the service the night before for dinner was great. They did take off the price of the 2 cocktails we had before our dinner to compensate for the late breakfast. The breakfast wasn't great anyway. Bacon was well done (fortunately I don't mind extra crispy bacon), mushroom was cold and potato scone was greasy. Husband had smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. His eggs were a bit on the cold side. A disappointing end to an otherwise brilliant stay.

   Great food, great service, and lovely setting. Steaks cooked perfectly, sides were all lovely, really like the cauliflower side aswell as the parsnips and carrots. The dessert was very good, shared as would have been too much between us after a big main. Think it was Ashley serving us could be wrong but both other servers very friendly, then had a chat with Andrew who’s been there as far back as I can remember. Will be back at another date even if just for a drink, cocktails made to a high standard.

   A nice hotel with a soothing, moody design throughout. There were some snags with the room and housekeeping. The shower can only be turned on or off, the water pressure is extremely low. I wasn't sure if this is a water saving measure, or an issue with the utilities. The room was clean overall, but one of the pillow cases was extremely wrinkled from the dryer. The blinds could have used a wipe down. There was only one robe, and it had a pretty prominent blue stain. We asked for extra pillows at the front desk before heading to dinner. Turn down service was included in the booking, and while we didn't actively request it, I was surprised they didn't take the opportunity to perform it while delivering the pillows. They didn't even remove the used drinking glass and cup from the table, let alone refresh them. I've definitely experienced much more circumspect/proactive service at hotels of a comparable price point. The bar staff was super nice though, and the bar food surprisingly good. The room was also very, very quiet with a comfortable bed, which is ultimately the most important thing. Not sure I would stay again in this location, but I would give the brand another chance.

   Arrived late on Saturday evening, the staff checked us in quickly and before long we had a cocktail in the bar. After the first one we decided to head back to our room and the waiter offered to bring a second drink up for us. We had a lovely chat with the waitress who delivered our drinks. Staff and service was excellent at all times.

   We stayed 4 nights in 2 rooms, everything was perfect! Staffs are very hospitable, rooms are spacious and great locations too. Special shout-out to receptionist team and housekeeping team, thank you for making our stay in Glasgow a great one!

   Great hotel! The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Location was great - lots of restaurants and retail around. My husband and I also tried the Butter chicken and Halibut from The Grill they were excellent. Would definitely return to this location.

   CHIC AND WELCOMING Visited the Dakota with a group of friends for drinks and bar food. The interior is lovely, being kinda dark yet cool and atmospheric. We found the staff to be very friendly and engaging. The range of drinks available, particularly the cocktails was extensive and impressive. The food was well presented and tasty. I had a cheeseburger which was delicious and, for the quality, reasonably priced. A smart and welcoming place which I will go back to.

   We really liked our stay here. The restaurant was lovely, room was amazing. The only thing I was a bit annoyed with.. the reception staff not communicating with each other. And when things have been paid, why isn't the system updated? I know sometimes things happen, but it's so embarrassing and they can make you feel like it's you who's made the mistake. It really put a dampener on our trip. I got charged twice for a late check out fee because the system wasn't updated. So had to go all the way back to the hotel after checking out, to get it refunded on to my card. Also was nearly charged twice for the damage wavier. Things like this just put me off.
