We were dining in a group of 20, with a room to ourselves. The food was quite simple but very well done, great steak pie. Service was friendly and quick. Wine was OK. The early evening menu, 3 courses for £20, was excellent value
Made it here during a work trip. Tucked away off the street close to the train station. Managed to find an adjacent parking spot on the road. The entrance is at the top of the Greek inspired stairway. Excellent decor with lots of tree themed pieces. Chose the 3 course set menu as there was a vegetarian option for each. Very good quality food and excellent presentation. All full of flavor and high quality ingredients. The lentil soup and sticky toffee pudding were particularly good. Definitely go back here again if I am working in the area again.
Fine dining at its best! I absolutely loved everything about this restaurant. My 10oz fillet, cooked medium rare, was perfect and so delicious. The room was bright and spacious. Simple but effective, and a pleasant surprise when it sits over a pub. The menu was really great and the wines on offer were commensurate. The two staff were very friendly and we definitely want to go back...lots!!!
Loved this place. Different to most places I’ve been to in terms of interior design. They have converted old flats into a well laid out traditional restaurant. The food was excellent. 6oz fillet cooked medium was to die for. Service was good. Menu was limited, however I got what I came for. Would love to see draught beer next time.
1st time being in, and it was a party size 20, the staff were amazing, the service couldn't fault. And the meals were delicious. Definitely recommend
We came here for a birthday dinner in the private dining room and it was a lovely night. The food was good, the drinks are fairly priced and the service is decent! Everyone enjoyed their meals - I thought the veg risotto was great and the sticky toffee pudding is worth the visit alone. The decor could do with some freshening up - there were missing lightbulbs and the style is starting to look a bit tired. This is only a very minor thing but a fresh paint would be make all the difference!
