Went in to get some coffees, teas, and lunch. Ordered 2 oat milk latte's and 2 tea with oat milk, together with 3 baguettes at the till to take away, while the person 'helping' me was loudly talking about his recent holiday. I waited at the side for my drinks and I got 1 oat milk latte and two teas with regular milk. When I asked where the second latte was, I got a very annoyed reply along the lines of 'oh you wanted 2!', and I asked if he had put oat milk in the teas. He put regular milk in them. Clearly very annoyed he made the 3 drinks, put them on the till and when I asked if he had a carrier and a bag for me, all I got was a loud 'no, I don't have those' and he walked away. His colleague had to apologise and gave me what I needed to carry everything, with numpty continuing to being rude and annoyed to other customers. What a joke.

The food was fine but the staff were unhelpful and dismissive to the point of rudeness. Worst though was the fruit fly situation. It's unacceptable for a place where customers buy and eat food to allow the infestation to get so bad. There were 100s of mature fruit flies in the back seating area swarming around customers which was disgusting and really put me and my friend off our food. Fruit flies are capable of spreading disease so this problem needs to be dealt with promptly. We visited two other busy cafes in central Edinbugh today and they had no such issue. Extremely disappointing experience from Pret A Manger.

Ideal cafe for a short tasting stop during your walk in the city. Hot or cold treats and very good coffee at reasonable prices.

A GREAT GO-TO. Pret is always a reliable place to go. The food and drinks are of a consistently high standard and the staff genuinely friendly and helpful. We had hot food namely a falafel & halloumi wrap and tuna melt toastie. Both were terrific. Large americanos and spelt cookie chasers and we were sorted. Continually good. We'll keep going back.

Was very disappointed. The macaroni cheese was dry as a bone and slightly warm. The toilets are definitely in need of a good clean and upgrade. One of the staff, behind the counter, had a handful of what looked like single ply napkins and was licking his thumb to separate them and put them on top of trays in the glass cabinet......yuk! Will definitely not go near it again. p.s. the tea was okay.

Fine pret just as any other one, but seemed to have a bit of a smaller selection in terms of sandwiches and salads than other prets. Breakfast smoothie was rather average, but the hummus chipotle wrap was quite good! Plenty of seating for chatting with friends or studying.
