Such a cute little place. We came as a family, curious to try the coffee and enjoy the coffee art, and it didn’t disappoint. The menu offers delicious and varied options, from fresh salads to toasties, bagels and pouched eggs. The staff were lovely too. And the coffee truly tastes like real coffee, especially compared to many other places in Edinburgh. Highly recommended!

Great selection of music and Christmas decorations! But you'd imagine this is not what you come here for. The chai latte was piping hot, tasteless and the poached eggs yolk almost didn't run. There were flies around the table. If you are looking for friendly staff, this is definitely not the greatest place for that.

Asked for a panini, which was available on the site. They had been removed from the menu when we visited. When we then asked if ketchup was available for the toasties we were told yes, however when the food arrived we got told "nope, we don't have ketchup". Lastly the chicken in my spicy quesadilla was just ice cold. Not a good lunch. Atmosphere was quite alright however.

I walked in to The Wall Coffee & Design House and it was almost at full capacity. When I went to place my order the cashier asked if I could wait a couple of minutes until the kitchen opened up. I thought, if this place is packed when the kitchen is closed, there must be something good going on here. I decided to wait and I am glad I did. I ordered a White Chocolate Mocha with a Mermaid Croque. The mocha was just the right amount of sweet on a nice cup that was completely full and it was perfectly warm, not hot or lukewarm, it was just the right temperature, Goldie Locks would approve. The Mermaid Croque was nice and crunchy, easy to cut with the fork and knife and everything (the cheese, salmon, avocado) stayed in place after I cut it so that I could enjoy the combination of flavors. It was delicious. Finally, I wanted to get something sweet and they recommended that I try the carrot cake. The carrot cake was nicely moist and the cream cheese frosting on top gave it a nice kick of sweetness. I think it also had some lavender. I'm glad I waited to have breakfast in here and thankful to the staff for being so welcoming, friendly and honest. 10/10

Do not recommend at all. We came in to have breakfast and the waitress told us they were not serving food. Half an hour later we saw sandwiches being served and asked a blond waitress if they had restocked. Not only she answers β€œyou should ask the chef” but rolled her eyes at us. We felt completely disrespected and left immediately. Another waitress saw what happened and didn’t do anything. So don’t go to this coffee shop if you like good service and food (as they refuse to serve you any).

Perfect place for a hot chocolate and a coffee after a long day walking around Edimburgh! The place was lovely and so nicely decorated that really gave a nice cozy and warm feeling! Amazing! Definitely recommended!

Great place where finally Oat Latte is perfect! Nice cozy ambient and good customer service! Busy in lunch time but totally normal, very tasty fresh made tosties and bagels. Good place to come back ❀️

Loved the decoration, loved the coffee but the spinach and feta pie was a trip down the memory lane. It was the best I’ve ever had in the UK and it felt like home - you have got to try it!

Food and drink were really nice, maybe a tad overpriced but definitely tasty! However one staff member caused a few issues for us, firstly despite lack of signage we were shouted at upon entry. We did not see a group leaving as we opened the door and as such were shouted at for not social distancing, I was particularly upset about this as we are not covid deniers or anything and always try our best to keep distance and mask up. Secondly despite my partner speaking clearly when ordering, our order was put in completely wrong! Thankfully my partner went and checked otherwise we would have received the completely wrong order. Again, the cafe serves lovely food and drinks and has a wonderful atmosphere but this member of staff had a negative impact on our time there. We hope that you take this feedback on board as common manners are not a lot to ask.
