⭐️ 1/5 – Great food, absolutely awful staff The place itself is nice and the food could have been great, but the staff completely ruined the experience. I went to a restaurant called Beirut expecting, reasonably, some Lebanese representation or at least staff who understand what that name stands for. When I politely asked if they were Lebanese, the response was defensive and hostile, as if I’d committed some sort of offence by asking where they were from. The staff turned rude instantly. Being Syrian is not the issue at all, but the aggressive reaction and attitude were completely uncalled for. To make things worse, the chicken arrived pink and undercooked. When we pointed this out, the staff member responded with “What do you want me to do?” Honestly unbelievable. What I wanted was very simple: cook it properly, which is what should have happened in the first place. We paid £78, and for that price you’d expect basic customer service and professionalism. Instead, we were met with attitude throughout. Yes, they brought “free” baklava at the end as a half-hearted apology, but it didn’t undo the rude behaviour or disgusting attitude shown. Calling this restaurant Beirut is frankly embarrassing. It does not represent Beirut or its people in hospitality, warmth, or respect. I won’t be coming back.

Heard about Beirut a while back and finally got to pay it a visit, lovely restaurant situated a wee bit out of town but a worthy walk from the rail station Welcoming smile from the moment you walk in the door, smells of beautiful coming from the kitchen. Enjoyed everything we tried but would really have loved some more char (crispy burn) on the Lamb Chops.

The food was delicious! Lebanese is one of the world's best cuisines, very flavorful, and the service was very friendly, which is to be expected. Highly recommended.

We are dinner here last night, this restaurant is a fantastic and authentic representation of Lebanese cuisine. Staff were great, food delicious, and priced very well. One of the better meals we had in Scotland, would highly recommend! The hummus with minced lamb, and the tabbouleh were to die for!

Amazing Middle Eastern food. We had the set meal for 2 which was about £62. The starters mezze portion was huge and had lots of dishes. Everything was delicious. The main course was 4 different kebabs and rice between 2 which was a decent sized portion but not too much after all the starters. Dessert was 4 small baklava type pastries to share and were also great, not too much honey. The mint lemonade was also fantastic. I would definitely eat here again.
