   Great local fish and chip place with really lovely new owners. These fish and chips are as good as you'll find in the area with excellent homemade mushy peas and tartar sauce. Large child friendly restaurant to eat in or take away. Try them out!

   Really disappointed - we used to visit Hunters regularly for a good, local cooked breakfast. I've made the unfortunate mistake of recommending this place twice since the establishment changed management - on both occasions, everyone around the table had some sort of issue with their food, and I've been left feeling pretty embarrassed for suggesting the venue. Quality of food has plummeted, prices have skyrocketed, staff desperately in need of some customer service training. Really hope they sort out their teething problems before their reputation goes down the toilet.

   Absolutely terrible. Arrived at 08:30 and sat down at a table. To then be told (only when I ordered) that this area was ‘only for people ordering food’ and that my clients and I, should move. Which we duly did… to a table which was dirty with food pieces everywhere, on the floor and surrounding tables - the area had clearly not been cleaned, disgusting. I then went to the toilet - which had also clearly not been cleaned either. I then ordered two large lattes and a large cappuccino - £9.00. An hour later I ordered the same again - £9.30! What a shambles and I wish we’d left earlier. We have been going to hunters for a number of years for our monthly meeting and under the previous ownership it was superb, with a welcoming team, great menu options and a clean environment. I will never set foot in here again and I wish them the best of luck with their next good hygiene inspection… Very poor indeed.

   Arranged a wake in there private room. Perfect for small gathering of up to 50 people. Ordered a buffet for 25 people but 40 came back. They were quick to keep the buffet topped up. Nothing was too much trouble. The room leads onto a small semi covered area . I had the menu option 1 which was freshly prepared.

   The food here was pretty good, but the service was pretty damn poor. It took ages for the woman at the bar (they don't take orders from the comfort of your table) to take the order, like 10 minutes for only 4 people (one course and one drink each). She kept needing help to find the options on the till, and even with help kept getting it wrong. Then she STILL managed to screw it up, missing a drink and ordering beans for my son when I *repeatedly* asked for peas. We won't be back in a hurry; maybe by then she'll be trained properly and able to communicate with human beings.

   We had Dads 90th birthday party here today in the back room/garden. Everything was just perfect. Very good communication prior to event, and nice buffet including catering very well for special dietary requirements. Really nice - Thank you Hunters!
