   This has to be the worst branch for food products with very poor dates , so many items with one day or two sell by dates. Bread on sale which is on its last day and no fresh bread arrived that day. Also food the same. Spoke with assistant manager who said the system doesn’t allow them to order more if showing in stock. I spoke to another assistant about it and said another customer left her shopping because of this being consistent problem, her response was that’s her prerogative. M&S was also meant to be about quality, unfortunately not in this store. This is my nearest branch and have discovered that the dates in products are very poor. The assistant also said most people freeze things nowadays. If I wanted frozen food I would buy frozen which is cheaper. I am a single person and isn’t possible to buy a weekly shop in this store because of the poor dates. If I was to go to Lidl or Aldi , I don’t find this problem there. Decided to leave what items I had in my basket as I would have to shop somewhere to buy the things I wanted fresh. Not what one should have to do

   In their Straiton food hall approaching payment counter just after 4pm and male employe (mid 40’s ish, gray/brown hair) pushing baskets cut right in front of me almost hitting me with the baskets. I simply said “really” and walked off. This obviously annoyed him and he then followed me still pushing baskets telling me I had cut in front of him and I better watch out or he would “push these” into me. Quickly paid and left.

   This is a great M&S food hall. It's near to my home, so I regularly go there for fancy shopping. There are a lot of car parking spaces. The shop is massive inside and it has everything fancy you need especially during the festive period. The staff are nice. The bakery is my favourite, the pastries are better than any cafe I know.

   This M & S Foodhall is a clean, tidy, and neat shop. It's a premium shop with a wide variety of selection. It's mainly focused on food and drinks albeit it does have birthday card and birthday cakes.

   Expensive shop for when you want to spend twice what you would in a normal supermarket. They do have a reasonable cheese selection for those of you who don't want to support local delis or cheese shops.

   Very good produce if somewhat more expensive than mid market stores. They have a bit of everything and lots of wines and spirits. There's also the M&S favourites in the cake and biscuit isle and some festive diet busting Christmas sweets and candies in stock. Decent range of ready meals, pizza, pre prepared veg and fresh meats. Not the biggest M&S food outlet but reasonably well stocked. Service was fast and staff were pleasant as always.
