   Went for Sunday roast, had lamb and beef, meats were fab but sides could've been more interesting, no cauliflower cheese, no parsnips. peas and broccoli were a little uninspiring. Gravy was lovely. Desserts were fantastic, had panna cota and tiramisu very rich and filling.

   I tried one of the new Pizza Sandwiches yesterday. It was just amazing. Freshly made and cooked in a wood fired oven, with the most delicious fillings. I had cheesy pesto gnocchi. What a revelation! If you're near Caerleon, you simply have to visit The Snug

   On my way to Celtic manor I stopped in for breakfast. They have and excellent selection of breakfast and brunch items. It was delicious and the service and atmosphere was pleasant. I would believe there pizzas are great too based on the wood fire oven. Definitely would recommend

   Visited today (a random Tuesday in July) with a friend, and our children aged 6 & 7, for brunch during a visit to the Roman Legion Museum, having seen the previous positive reviews of this place. We ordered a variety of breakfast/brunch dishes, including some from the Specials, and we're not disappointed by what we were served - fantastic. We also each had ice-cream for dessert, with a good variety of flavours on offer - the cake/brownie/tiffin/etc. selection also looked amazing. The staff were all friendly and attentive - the service throughout our visit was great. Would 100% recommend, and would revisit if in the area again - maybe even for one of their pizza nights

   This restaurant is my go to place and will continue to recommend to others. The authentic cooking with fresh produce and atmosphere is what makes this place so welcoming and enjoyable. A family business that cares about its customers! Last night we enjoyed one of their delicious pizza nights, before our food was even at the table I booked breakfast for the morning. As usual and as we have come to expect the food was perfect!! I urge others to come here and dine in future.

   Great lunchtime experience. Apparently, we were told, it's even more fantastic in the evening. We had the lunchtime stack with the recommended cocktail and this is a good first visit option. Next time we will pick from the comprehensive a la carte menu. Can't wait to go back.

   Lovely little find on a wee stroll round the town. Tucked away in an arcade, it's quaint but also hipster in feel. Lovely decor, fab friendly service and great range of food and drink. I really liked it, and seems popular with the locals too. I will return next time I'm in town.

   The snug is one of our favourite places to go in Caerleon. We go regularly for lunch (the panini's are amazing!) and their pizza nights. A great range of pizza toppings (including no cheese) and different starters. All very authentic. The staff are always so friendly. Brilliant restaurant.
