Food was delicious! Credit to the chef. Don't just walk past the door open it and go in! Good value for money! Friendly staff! Would definitely recommend.

You can’t get an impression of the place from the front door, which is nondescript to say the least. Once you’ve made it up the stairs though, it opens out into a very nice dining area (impressive ceiling and murals). Food was excellent and the service very good. I didn’t catch our waiter’s name, but he was very jolly.

One of the best Indian restaurants in Bath. I have been twice now and had positives experiences on both occasions. The restaurant is very impressive and unique in terms of its styling and the sheer size of it. It can get very, very busy, particularly when Bath rugby are playing at home. However, there were plenty of attentive staff during both of my visits. Drinks selection is some of the best I’ve seen at an Indian restaurant. The bar is absolutely huge. The food is very nice, as some other have mentioned, portion sizes are relatively small compared to other restaurants I’ve eaten at, but it’s perfectly acceptable. Staff are really nice. Toilets are clean, but like other have also mentioned, it would benefit from a refresh and some new carpet on the stairs which look really worn. All in all though, a really good experience and I recommend the Grand Eastern.

A fantastic curry in a venue with great character. The staff were polite and quick to ensure our order was taken once we were ready. The atmosphere was pleasant in a very unique setting (it really is a very cool long room with domed ceilings and murals on the large walls. I've never been to a curry house like it). The food itself was lovely with the curries being well cooked, rich and bold in flavour, essentially a good old traditional curry when we were craving exactly that.

Great food, albeit a bit greasy for my taste. Delicious flavour tho

Absolutely delicious Indian meal enjoyed equally by my friend. The service was amazing & we ordered a mixed starter for my husband whom was at a book signing. Nothing was too much trouble.

Nice and tasty food we enjoyed eating here. Mixed tandoori grill was a good dish to start with. Staffs are so kind and helpful.
