December 2025. I visited this store for the first time in the winter. It’s a cozy shop with a wide selection and reasonable prices. I bought a swimsuit for £13 — it was the only store where I could find a swimsuit in winter at such a good price.

Best customer service I’ve had in ages. The two guys I interacted with were both lovely, friendly, and really efficient. Guy with a lanyard/dark beard and another guy with dark blonde hair. Helped us find different sizes of shoes to try this evening and got everything sorted quickly. Highly recommend here!

Very disappointed with my experience at this store. I bought a pair of sneakers for my husband, but the size didn’t fit. When I tried to return them, I was refused a refund — they only offered a store credit, valid for a limited time, and only for their own products. The staff was rude and completely unhelpful. No effort to listen or assist, just a flat-out refusal. This was my first time encountering such poor return policies and such an unfriendly attitude toward customers. Customer support was equally useless — no one replies to emails, and no one takes responsibility for solving the issue. To make things worse, the prices here are much higher than on official brand websites. I strongly advise against shopping here — you’ll pay more and be treated poorly.

Extremely disappointed with the service at Sports Direct. I bought a pair of Reebok trainers a few months ago. When they got dirty, I looked for washing instructions on the shoe but found nothing, no tag, no icon, nothing. I washed them on a cold cycle with standard detergent (the same way I clean other shoes), and the colour changed from grey to a strange green. I returned to the same store to explain the issue, but the staff were completely unhelpful and dismissive. They claimed “everyone knows” trainers should only be washed by hand, which is a weak excuse when there are no clear instructions provided anywhere on the product. A bit of responsibility and customer support would go a long way. Won’t be shopping here again.

I bought some clothes for my children from them, the clothes didn't fit well so I went to get them changed but I lost the receipt. I told them that I lost the receipt but I have the transaction proof, I have shown transaction proof and date of purchase, One more thing I want to clear here is that all the cloths come with the original stickers as I bought them. While a young boy is checking everything, a middle-aged man comes and says he can not do anything without a receipt. He was a man of very bad manners, I have a hard to believe how he got a job at this shop, I was Very upset, lost the receipt but didn't lose his shop sticker and proof of payment…

Everything was fine in the end got what I needed but had to change my order, when it came to pay the guy didn't have a clue what he was doing, I asked to pay by card and he rang it up and said that be £35 please, went to tap my card and he said NO ive rang it up now am needing cash for the sale, I only had £20 in my wallet, so asked take 20 cash and the other 15 stick it on my card please, with this he just looked at me like I was speaking a foreign language.. so after a minute I said mate do you want me to show you what to do?? Silent he said nothing so I then said, will I make your job easier and choose a similar item that's £20 mate, which I did, he then rang that item through so now his till is saying £55 he took my money and said hope there not a problem and you have to bring them back because I can only give you a credit note for the £20 not the £55 with that he opened his till and proceeds to give me £35 back for a item that I never bought in the end and to start with never even gave him any money to start with either.. told him to keep it, really think he thought I was giving him a tip for his service that morning, he may of been tired as the shop had just opened or was it the mad rush myself and 1 other customer walked in at the same time.. 100% il be back soon for a massive shop especially if he's o the tills again could get my shopping for nothing next time all my money back and get a recite just incase i do need to bring anything back.. that last bits a joke.. some staff training my be required...

Went in looking for a new pair of trainers and a shoulder bag. Got almost exactly what I wanted, but still very happy. I was also rather surprised when I walked up to the front door to see that there was a GAME shop upstairs. Overall, I'm very happy but my bank account may not be as happy

Great shop for all of your sports gear. And very reasonable price for jeans and casual wear. Plus they have a wide range and styles of sports shoes.

Staff cant be more useless, asked 4 people if they have a thing I need in stock, one staff memeber literally walked for around 30 seconds and said this is all they have and ran awat, i asked another person if any other sports direct shop has it, got an answer to order online, then I asked third and forth person if they could actually check on the computer which shop has it - none of them did, the shop was not busy at all. Ridiculous, either train your staff better or rehire.
