Worst experience ever. Please avoid. Itβs not a Greek restaurant. Terrible service. The only Greek was the music and the posters on the walls. The portions were for toddlers with extortionate prices. This restaurant is mockery to the Greek cuisine. To make matters worse my daughter received a gyros with pork and with short curly hair probably belonging to a male stuff. Β£11 for a pork gyros with 4 pieces of 2mm pork and a few chips . Ridiculous. The cherry on top was the βoptionalβ 10% service fee charge which was demanded to be paid. We asked for the waiter to remove this from the bill and he suddenly his whole demeanour changed. Please , please avoid at any cost!! For real Greek food go to Ola Kala.

True Greek experience in a great location! Friendly staff and superb proper Greek food. High quality meat and the pita simply put it returns you back to the time in Greece. Fantastic array of desserts as well.

To say we are dissapointed is an understatement. I'm writing this in the restaurant before I even leave that's how poor it was. This place has more in common with the movie grease than the country Greece. After being seated we waited for 3 other tables to get seated before we ordered. They took drinks and food order at the same time which is fine but the food arrived before the drinks. They had forgotten to put the drinks order through. The cold meze arrived and we were told this is like the starter and the hot parts would be there later. Only for them to arrive 2 minutes later??? The drinks finally arrived after that. The food is average at best. That's being generous. Even without the questionable service the food still wouldn't be any better. Portions are small and the chicken is dry. The only part of the meal with any flavour is the whipped feta but it's so spicy as to overpower everything else. I would highly recommend going absolutely anywhere else.

Amazing meal at the Real Greek! We got selected for the golden menu, which was such a treat! Our waitress Vanessa looked after us for the whole meal and the service was top tier, as was all the food - which was all delicious. Would definitely recommend!

Underwhelmed. Flavours not so great for the main dishes, could have done with more seasoning. Literally the first customer of the day and the booths werenβt well cleaned. Desert was really good. Highly recommend the custard filo pastry option with ice cream.

The food definitely deserves the hype but unfortunately the service doesnβt. Food we both enjoyed to be fair but waiter was quite rude when we asked for the bill (he wasnβt our waiter so didnβt get the bill for us - old grey haired guy and made a point of saying he wasnβt our waiter) really long wait for our food so in the end ended up asking where it was. Didnβt acknowledge the female birthday booking until we told them in personβ¦

Went to The Real Greek yesterday for dinner, and had a lovely experience. This was our first time trying greek food, and we enjoyed both the food, and the ambience of the place. Zahari, our host was impeccable and elevated the evening. We shared the Taramasalata, Melitzanosalata, Dolmades, Pork on Tzatziki, Jackfruit Stifado and the Octopus on Fava between us. The Taramasalata and the Pork were the stand-out dishes for me. We were too full to try the souvlaki wraps, but i'm sure we'll come back here for those.

Arrived with 19 months old child. Our first Restaurant on xmas in Edinburgh, just arrived from Germany. All people here were friendly and we had a very good time. And it looks wonderful. Go there if you are at St. James Centre.
