   We arrived for a rest between shopping visits. The place was busy but there were vacant tables. We seated quickly and ordered through the app. Our drinks arrived quickly and by a pleasant member of staff. The food arrived quickly after the drinks and all our orders were correct and the food was warm, delicious and well presented. The pub was well decorated with local period informative pictures about local history very relevant and interesting to myself as a non local. I would highly recommend visiting the New year Field and certainly use the app as it offers a quick and speedy ordering process.

   It was very busy, but drink arrived quickly, meal arrived in less than 10 mins. Everything was fine. Staff did a really good job even though the place was packed. Top marks, can't fault it.

   We had a mixed experience with dinner at this pub. While my wife an I enjoyed our curry, the man bread was stale and hard at the edges. Unfortunately, my daughter's pizza arrived very late and was cold. The pizza was refunded. Our other guests had chicken, and it was fine. On in all it was slightly disappointing.

   Went for breakfast early expecting that by going early the food would be warm at least because there wouldn’t be many other customers. Well how wrong can you be. The main fault I think was that there too few serving staff and food sat out until someone was free as a result it was at best lukewarm if that. The black pudding could have been used for a clay pigeon shoot and why you can’t keep beans hot beats me. And the fried egg was like rubber. I know you get what you pay for but this was awful. I work in the hospitality industry myself serving food and know that temperature control is so important so someone needs to get a grip in Livingston.

   ​We visited this Wetherspoon location and were very pleased. The pub food was exactly the good, consistent quality you expect from the chain—hot, tasty, and great value. What really made the visit stand out, however, was the service. Despite the venue being extremely busy, the staff were efficient, friendly, and managed to handle the crowd admirably. We would definitely go back and recommend it.

   Was in here today service at the bar was fine sat at a table next to the food prepared area and I wasn't impressed that my food was ready but I waited 6 minutes until it arrived at my table. I got a burger and chips and wasn't impressed with the portion it was like a childs portion 12 chips and a burger smaller than a McDonald's 99p cheeseburger. Iv been here a few times and always enjoyed my food but not today. Poor display guys

   In for breakfast. Pub at the time was not too busy, however lots of dirty cups and plates on tables. Service was quick but some items missing from the menu. Food was decent enough, standard spoons scran. At the time of visit looked a bit light on staff.

   Over various days, I found the service to differ and also the quality of the same meal ordered. All days were at roughly the same time and all were week days. Staff try really hard and are mostly pleasant. Disabled access was good and more than adequate for a wheelchair user.
