Nice to go back in time in the Kenilworth pub. Unfortunately there was a slite smell of damp . But the premises were clean and tidy . Just wish prices were slightly cheaper as paid £14.65 for guiness draft and madri draft. Female colleague serving was very helpful, polite and joyful. It's small but a nice change from big company owned pubs Ie wetherspoons etc.

Great food! The pies are delicious and filled to the brim. The haggis is also very tasty, but prepare for a big portion ;). Unfortunately we were, to say the least, very unimpressed by the service. The staff was overall very rude and seemed annoyed by a simple request to wipe the table dry. This did have an effect on the evening we had and our impression of this pub. Hopefully this changes soon.

Nice pub with Scottish food on the menu. Enjoyable atmosphere with nice people. The food was a portion appropriate for a light bite. The haggis wasn’t overwhelming. The steak pie had a nice dense crust. It was a little light on the filling. Nice back room for a cozy group. Overall a solid 3.89

A beautiful old bar with lots of history. Love that they have kept all the old features. It's like stepping back in time. Staff are helpful friendly and so helpful. I would recommend calling in for a pint a bite to eat.

Beautiful old pub on Rose Street just away from the busiest streets in Edinburgh. Interiors are historic and have recently been restored with a lovely wooden bar, and incredibly ornate high ceilings. Don’t miss the small room tucked away at the back, great for a quiet catchup or a game of cards. At Christmas they have mulled wine and a few other festive options. Great spot to shelter from the rain on a cold winter night!

Brilliant, food was good and the Stewarts 80/- beer was very tasty. A little noisy but the best on Rose Street.

Great refurbishment to this traditional pub known to me for countless years as a Edinburgh Local but on the night visited the premises were severely understaffed and had to wait about ten minutes to be served, only to find that many items on the menu were unavailable. The pint served earlier was good - the background music was appalling and totally inappropriate - overall the experience was disappointing. I had such high hopes - tourists may be unaware of the pub’s rich heritage and might not be so critical.
